I love shopping!

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

All the females, whether she is young or old, love shopping. I go shopping as long as I have time. I can’t help buying something lovely and cute though they may be useless. As a result, I often go to kids’ department to wander around. I admire than for having so many kinds of pretty clothes as didn’t appear at my childhood. The children today have their own party dresses which are delicate. Due to the lower price of kids’ shoes compared with the adults’, I decided to buy one pair today. I went to Nike kids’ store to take a look. The girls’ shoes were very cute. I like a pair of shoes which needn’t bootlace. Unfortunately, there was no suitable size for me. Then another pair of shoes came into my sight. They were white and blue and looked very concise. I felt they were dreadfully lovely when I tried them on. But they were not fit to wear in summer because they had no breathed hole. Finally, I determined to buy them. They were comfortable.

online shopping

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Nowadays, the growing numbers of people choose online shopping. It’s the reason that they are extraordinarily cheap, and at the same time you can compare the same thing in different stores, such as the price, the place, and so forth. Therefore, I started to search for clothes I liked online and compared carefully. In addition, I suggested my roommates to consider buying something online, too. I had chosen a store which clothes there were fashion and not dear. If we bought a lot of things, the shopkeeper just asked for one carriage. It was much cheaper. For a period of time, all of my dormitory members searched the internet every day to choose pretty clothes. At last, we were going to buy 11clothes from a store. After we had paid money, we expected the clothes would reach soon. We could not help trying them on when they arrived at. Beyond our expectation, however, the quality of the clothes was not as good as we had looked forward to. Their color were different form the online pictures and they were fragile. The size of some was not suitable to us. Next time, I will consider more things about online shopping.

TEM-4

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

As the TEM-4 is approaching, all the students are busying preparing for it. I studied at classroom every day. I had to remember the words which will appear in the exam, but it was so boring to learn than by heart. I’d rather do some mock exercises. Teacher told us to practice listening every day. I paid more attention on reading comprehension because I was poor at it. At first, I made three mistakes every passage which almost drove crazy. I had no confidence about the exam. my friends encouraged me a lot. I insisted practicing reading, and I seemed grasp the method of reading gradually. The mistakes became less and less.

Now, the rest day is reducing, I realized time is precious. A famous Chinese saying goes like this, “Time can not be purchased with gold.” Time is so valuable that nothing can buy it. So it’s a big pity if we waste time. The lost time can’t come back. Life is limited, which is just as long as several decades. So we shouldn’t waste time. We must realize that wasting time means wasting our lives. Time is our wealth. Therefore, we should make good use of time to do meaningful things.

Home Tutor

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Recently I got a job—home tutor. I teach a pupil English. However, different people have different ideas on this job.

Some people think of it positively. And in practice, home tutor may help children to make up for what they fail to learn in school. It is especially helpful to kids of those families where the parents never have good education. Besides, in many cases, it helps children to raise their academic scores.
Others however may think of it differently. From their point of view, home tutoring has some disadvantages just as every coin has two sides. First it may impose a financial burden on parents and a heavier academic burden on children who are already under heavy pressure. Second, it may not bring about the changes parents want in their children.
In my opinion, if you make good use of home tutoring, you can’t be disappointed, but if you fail to do so, you have to accept all the consequences.

Studying Abroad?

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Nowadays many Chinese students are interested in studying abroad. They spend much more time, energy and money on the preparation for studying abroad than on their own majors in college. And some of them even begin to prepare for GRE and TOFEL at the beginning of their college life.
One of the reasons may be that they prefer a different style of life, which can open a new world to them and help enrich their experiences. Moreover, he or she will become a multi-cultural person. Secondly, they can improve their foreign language quickly, and thus they are likely to get a good job. Lastly, better laboratory equipment and large amounts of information may be another attraction for many students.
However, as everything has two sides, there are also some problems in attending a foreign university such as language barrier, lack of knowledge of the local culture, etc. Therefore, misunderstandings often arise; in addition, the cost of living is so high that the students have to find part-time jobs in order to help support themselves. This may cause them not to pay full attention to their studies and fail in their courses and learn little.
As for me, I would like to study abroad in the future.
