I love shopping!

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

All the females, whether she is young or old, love shopping. I go shopping as long as I have time. I can’t help buying something lovely and cute though they may be useless. As a result, I often go to kids’ department to wander around. I admire than for having so many kinds of pretty clothes as didn’t appear at my childhood. The children today have their own party dresses which are delicate. Due to the lower price of kids’ shoes compared with the adults’, I decided to buy one pair today. I went to Nike kids’ store to take a look. The girls’ shoes were very cute. I like a pair of shoes which needn’t bootlace. Unfortunately, there was no suitable size for me. Then another pair of shoes came into my sight. They were white and blue and looked very concise. I felt they were dreadfully lovely when I tried them on. But they were not fit to wear in summer because they had no breathed hole. Finally, I determined to buy them. They were comfortable.

online shopping

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Nowadays, the growing numbers of people choose online shopping. It’s the reason that they are extraordinarily cheap, and at the same time you can compare the same thing in different stores, such as the price, the place, and so forth. Therefore, I started to search for clothes I liked online and compared carefully. In addition, I suggested my roommates to consider buying something online, too. I had chosen a store which clothes there were fashion and not dear. If we bought a lot of things, the shopkeeper just asked for one carriage. It was much cheaper. For a period of time, all of my dormitory members searched the internet every day to choose pretty clothes. At last, we were going to buy 11clothes from a store. After we had paid money, we expected the clothes would reach soon. We could not help trying them on when they arrived at. Beyond our expectation, however, the quality of the clothes was not as good as we had looked forward to. Their color were different form the online pictures and they were fragile. The size of some was not suitable to us. Next time, I will consider more things about online shopping.

TEM-4

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

As the TEM-4 is approaching, all the students are busying preparing for it. I studied at classroom every day. I had to remember the words which will appear in the exam, but it was so boring to learn than by heart. I’d rather do some mock exercises. Teacher told us to practice listening every day. I paid more attention on reading comprehension because I was poor at it. At first, I made three mistakes every passage which almost drove crazy. I had no confidence about the exam. my friends encouraged me a lot. I insisted practicing reading, and I seemed grasp the method of reading gradually. The mistakes became less and less.

Now, the rest day is reducing, I realized time is precious. A famous Chinese saying goes like this, “Time can not be purchased with gold.” Time is so valuable that nothing can buy it. So it’s a big pity if we waste time. The lost time can’t come back. Life is limited, which is just as long as several decades. So we shouldn’t waste time. We must realize that wasting time means wasting our lives. Time is our wealth. Therefore, we should make good use of time to do meaningful things.

Home Tutor

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Recently I got a job—home tutor. I teach a pupil English. However, different people have different ideas on this job.

Some people think of it positively. And in practice, home tutor may help children to make up for what they fail to learn in school. It is especially helpful to kids of those families where the parents never have good education. Besides, in many cases, it helps children to raise their academic scores.
Others however may think of it differently. From their point of view, home tutoring has some disadvantages just as every coin has two sides. First it may impose a financial burden on parents and a heavier academic burden on children who are already under heavy pressure. Second, it may not bring about the changes parents want in their children.
In my opinion, if you make good use of home tutoring, you can’t be disappointed, but if you fail to do so, you have to accept all the consequences.

Studying Abroad?

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Nowadays many Chinese students are interested in studying abroad. They spend much more time, energy and money on the preparation for studying abroad than on their own majors in college. And some of them even begin to prepare for GRE and TOFEL at the beginning of their college life.
One of the reasons may be that they prefer a different style of life, which can open a new world to them and help enrich their experiences. Moreover, he or she will become a multi-cultural person. Secondly, they can improve their foreign language quickly, and thus they are likely to get a good job. Lastly, better laboratory equipment and large amounts of information may be another attraction for many students.
However, as everything has two sides, there are also some problems in attending a foreign university such as language barrier, lack of knowledge of the local culture, etc. Therefore, misunderstandings often arise; in addition, the cost of living is so high that the students have to find part-time jobs in order to help support themselves. This may cause them not to pay full attention to their studies and fail in their courses and learn little.
As for me, I would like to study abroad in the future.

The Spring Festival

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

It was 1:00pm when I woke up. Today was the Spring Festival. After dressing, I went to grandma’s home with my parents. Also my aunt’s went there. It was a day for family members to gather together chatting and reminiscing. While they were preparing for the dinner, I played with my bother. He was a little father than before. He was good at computer games and he taught me. I was really a fresh guy. I didn’t have a good job on it and I felt disappointed. To make the matters worse, my mum didn’t cook which drove me crazy because I jut thought her cook was delicious and I enjoyed it. As a result, I ate little. We watched the Spring Festival Gala together. However the adults couldn’t help playing Ma Jiang any longer. I went back home lonely and my parents went to aunt’s. At the midnight, there were so many fireworks in the sky. It was beautiful. I watched for half an hour, and then searched the Internet, checking my space as well as message, browsing some websites, and chatting. It seemed that everything was dull for me, but I could not sleep. I didn’t go to bed until 3:00.

My 20th Birthday

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

When I powered on my cell phone, several blessing messages were sent by my dear friends, and I realized that today was my 20th birthday. I had expected this day for a long time because I had determined to forget my last sorrow relationship entirely, and from then on I must restart my own life. I was happy, and I am happy, and I will happy. At the listening course, our sweat monitor and lovely classmates sang birthday song to me, which make me feel happiness. Amazingly I received a call from a cake store, and the assistant told me that a friend had ordered a cake for me. What a fantastic day! Furthermore this was my first time to celebrate my birthday with another girl who was born on the same day with me. We ate pasta in a shopping mall, and of course we also did some shopping there. We went back late, but our roommates all were waiting for us because of the delicious chocolate cake. To be honest, the cake was the most delicious one I had ever had. It was 100% pure chocolate cake. We all loved it. Then a cake fight began. My face was full of cake. It seemed that I was doing chocolate mask. We enjoyed ourselves completely.

The Lantern Festival

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

It was the Lantern Festival today. After class I went back home to gather together with family members and had a delicious dinner. I rejoiced that the college was not far from my home. I can go home whenever I want while it’s quite impossible for those whose hometown isn’t here. My roommates all had something to do, such as shopping, dating, or visiting friend except Zhong. She was alone. Therefore I hurried to the college to accompany her after dinner. It was the last day that people living in urban can see fireworks so colonies of people bought a lot of fireworks. We possessed some as well, but they were small. Both of us were afraid of lighting them so we chose the smaller one. At first we planned to leave some for future. However nothing remained eventually. Then we bought some food, and stood outside the dormitory and waited for other roommates’ coming. We talked a lot of funny things while waiting. We had a nice night. We didn’t go back until all the members were back.

Happy Valley

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Happy Valley used to be extraordinarily crowded. Today, however, was reverse because of the windy weather probably. My boyfriend and I took his sister here to celebrate the Spring Festival. Happy Valley was divided into several sections. One section was specially designed for kids. I accompanied her to play all the games there. My boyfriend refused to play any games intensely, but with the same intense requirement, he played a game with us eventually. Due to the chill, I wore my lamp hat which I bought with him last year. It was very cute. I enjoyed the games. At noon, we chose the biggest restaurant in the Valley. As I had known, the food there was terrible. I had told him before and asked him to buy some food as well, but he was too lazy to buy anything. After lunch we took a walk around and watched some programs that were performed for the holiday. Then we went home. To our pity, her sister got a fever. I sincerely hope she would get better soon.

Skiing

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

It was a sunny day. My boyfriend’s aunt took him and his two sisters and me to ski. It seemed that I have become one f his family members, which made me feel particularly joyful. His aunt, younger sister and he had learned the basic skills of skiing. His elder sister and I were both lagged behind. At the beginning, both of us, however, just skied without any professional guidance. Our speeds were extremely fast because we did not know how to control the speed. I fell to the ground many times. Sometimes I lost balance, sometimes someone was in front of me, I had to fell down in case that he wouldn’t be crashed. His sister was better than me. At least she never fell down, but she always skied a curve. After a while, his aunt asked a coach to teach us, and she took my boyfriend and younger sister to the medium path. The coach taught us how to slow down our speed, and pulled us skiing for a while and led us ski ourselves. During the process, she kept remind us the skill. I grasped the highlight and skied quite well while her sister still had some difficulties in controlling the speed. The coach taught her and I skied myself. Nevertheless, the time was up. I enjoyed very much, and from now on I love skiing.
