Rich or Poor

Some people are rich while some are poor. Poor doesn’t mean that he has less money than others, but he has less happiness than others during his whole life. Rich doesn’t mean that he has a lot of treasure, bus his life is full of love. I think I’m a rich girl, although I don’t have much money, I own a lot of love from others, love from my parents, my friends, and my boyfriend. I am immersed in the love which they give me.

When I entered high school, I was afraid to talk with others. No one talked to me in the school, so I felt that nobody liked me. I live in a deep depression during that period of time. After the first examination, my teacher told me that I did very poor in my examination. I felt so sad but I didn’t want others to see my tears. When I came back home, I told my parents that I was full and didn’t want to eat anything, then I locked myself in my room for one night. My tears burst out suddenly with all the depression I had had. Because of exhaustion and starvation, I felt down the stairs when I went to school. My left leg was hurt, and I can’t walk properly.

When I was in school, all the classmates said to me, “Oh, poor girl !” And then girls helped me hold my bag and boys carried me to upstairs. During that period of time, I saw everyone was kind-hearted and helpful. They told me that they like me and want to be my friend.

After that, I began to know, if I open my heart to everyone, things can be different. I can make friends easily and I can make good communication with others. The most important thing is to own the love from other is the happiest thing in the world.

Political way to solve Darfur problem

In my opinion, the crisis in Sudan is not one of rare or ethnicity, but a political one that requires political solutions.

There are two main rebel movements in Darfur. They are the Sudan liberation Movement and the Justice and Equality Movement. And why they happened. Because African there, they don’t have equal rights, they are lack of the protection of government. So, the best way to solve the problem is a dialogue based on the equal paricipation in all levels of government, a commitment to the principle of decentralisation and a federal government based on diffusion of authority between the centre and the regions, distributon of wealth between the centre and regions to achieve balanced and sustained developement. Establishing ownership of land in Darfur based on rights of the various tribes, while at the same time taking into consideration the common good in the area.

What’s more, troops in Darfur-AU or UN-must include in their  mandate and duties the protection of the civilian population and cooperation with the International Criminal Court. Destroyed villages must be rebuilt and safe return of the original inhabitants must be made possible.

With an understanding of the political depth of the problem, Sudanese government should give peop;e whoever in the country equal right, that is the key to end the civil war. Sudan as a country is in danger, but the danger is coming from government, which refuses to implement the peace agreement signed with the SPLM of the South. Sudanese government has responsibility and necessity to have a peaceful dialogue with African rebels. Give equal right to all people, that is the best solution.

Humanitarian aid is important, but only humanitarian aid is not enough. It is a war and it lasts so many years, so we need more power to solve the problem, we need government.

It is really not a problem of race or ethnicity, but a political one, so genocide is not the key of the problem. So there is no need to give military intervention to prevent genocide.

After all, violence is not a good way to solve a pr

Flowers & Youth

I’ve been looking forward the spring for almost a year. At the beginning of April, I realize its figure moving towards me. Flowers are blooming as if they’re competing for the laurel of the most beautiful flowers in the garden. It seems that everyone is trying its best to set its energy free, in order to display its most beauty to all, even if it may wither sooner. After a few days glorious, the flowers have to be prepared for another long year for the next climax. However, it will never complain.

It may sound a little bit bitter. However, as a matter of fact, to some degree, our youth is the same as the flowers. We make our most efforts to enjoy our youth, making us the most shining group of the society. We’re the essential strength who make the society developing faster, we’re the engines that make the cities full of energy, we’re the bright colors that make the picture of life vivid. However, youth will disappear quietly without leaving a trace for you to pursueing. But when we’re having it, we should cherish it. As we were told in the childhood, we should not pick the flowers at will, the same is true of youth.

my volunteering work

I once wished to be a volunteer exceedingly, because nearly all the people around me had had a volunteering experience. However, what they told me is that they had an aweful time there and there is no work for them to do. Despite the bad assessment, I still looked forward to taking part in the Good Luck Beijing volunteer group.

On that very morning, I got on the bus to the National Stadium, wearing the uniform which is not that pretty (Actually, to some degree, it can be regarded as ugly.) But I wouldn’t admit it since the joyfulness has already overlooked everything. The bus was extremely shabby as if it would fall apart at any moment. I thought may be it was produced when PRC was found.

When I arrived at the National Stadium which looks like a bird nest, I was shocked by its magnificent appearance. I thought everyone would admire its beauty during the Olympic Games. Then I became more excited. However, when I stepped into the stadium, the inside part was not so good as its appearance. It was still decorated. The disgusting smell and cold air made me feel uncomfortable.

Our boss seemed very pleased to see us and asked us to have a rest. One hour, two hours, three hours have passed. It was the time to have lunch which was not so abundant as I thought before. After lunch, our boss said with a gentle smile:”You can have a rest after your lunch.”Then, there was another long rest until we got on the bus back to school.

My 6 days’ volunteer job was spent like this. I was quite disappointed with my volunteer experience.
