Aquamarine is a story of Claire and Hailey, two 13-year-old girls, and they are best friends. One day, they found a mermaid in the swimming pool when they were swimming. The mermaid is called Aquamarine. Of course, she’s beautiful. The 2 girls began to have an adventure life after they met Aquamarine.

In order to search the real love, the beautiful, 18-year-old, blue-haired mermaid swam from home before her arranged marrige. If she could prove to her father that love is not a story, her father could let her get rid of the wedding under the water. But her father only gave her 3 days. So, Aquamarine asked Claire and Hailey for help. The 2 girls thought themselves as love experts, and they learn form the pages of magazines that they read and quote daily.

Aquamarine sets her sight on a Club’s lifeguard, Raymond Calder. And Aquamarine promised, if Claire and Hailey could help her reel in Raymond, she will help them to realize whatever wishes. So the girls accepted the opportunity with pleasure.

At last, the 2 girls hope that as long as Aquamarine can keep her land legs and avoid sprouting her massive, mythological tail, everyone will see their wishes come true. More important, they learn some important lessons about he power of friendship, the true magic of love—and the importance of standing on your own 2 feet.

I went to Qing Huangdao on Saturday. It is a city beside the sea. It is a beautiful city. There are not many cars in the street, so the air is pretty good, not polluted. And the climate is good. When I was there, the weather was extremely good, the sunshine was beautiful and the wind was vool, not too cold, not too hot.

I lived in a hotel which was beside the sea. In the evening, I went to the seaside with my friends. We walked along the seashore, enjoying the wind blowing from the sea. Although the wind was a bit cold in the evening. When I saw the sea, I began to think of nothing about the cold wind. The sea is so big, and I felt that I was too small when I faced to the sea.

I began to think of something. Sometimes, we often quarrel about trifles. When I saw the sea, I found that the things compared with the sea were too small to think about. Friends are far more important than anything else. It is not worth quarrelling with friends becouse of trifles. We should be more kind to our friends.

In my spare time, I read fashion magazines and collect pictures that are gorgeous to me. I don’t aspire to be a fashion designer. One really needs to struggle to make her way in the cut-throat world of fashion. There is much more to this job than just a sense of fashion. I only hope to cultivate my own sense of fashion.

I’ve always wanted to be unique and my style of dress reflects that I like clothes that are over the top, which nobody except special people would ever consider wearing, or would have the confidence to wear. If I wear simple colors, then the design of my top must be creative and my shoes have to be imaginative. If I wear multiple colors, then my clothes are in a very straight line. I admit that, to most people, my outfit would look a little odd. But that is because ther’re used to seeing the safe, which blends them into the background, among the “majority”. I, however, look for this oddness to bring out my personality.

Everybody struggles with building something that can be identified as his or hers. In my view, Descartes’ words “I think therefore I am” should be updated to a more aggressive line:”I design(my look, attitude, life goal) therefore I am.”

Some people are rich while some are poor. Poor doesn’t mean that he has less money than others, but he has less happiness than others during his whole life. Rich doesn’t mean that he has a lot of treasure, bus his life is full of love. I think I’m a rich girl, although I don’t have much money, I own a lot of love from others, love from my parents, my friends, and my boyfriend. I am immersed in the love which they give me.

When I entered high school, I was afraid to talk with others. No one talked to me in the school, so I felt that nobody liked me. I live in a deep depression during that period of time. After the first examination, my teacher told me that I did very poor in my examination. I felt so sad but I didn’t want others to see my tears. When I came back home, I told my parents that I was full and didn’t want to eat anything, then I locked myself in my room for one night. My tears burst out suddenly with all the depression I had had. Because of exhaustion and starvation, I felt down the stairs when I went to school. My left leg was hurt, and I can’t walk properly.

When I was in school, all the classmates said to me, “Oh, poor girl !” And then girls helped me hold my bag and boys carried me to upstairs. During that period of time, I saw everyone was kind-hearted and helpful. They told me that they like me and want to be my friend.

After that, I began to know, if I open my heart to everyone, things can be different. I can make friends easily and I can make good communication with others. The most important thing is to own the love from other is the happiest thing in the world.

In my opinion, the crisis in Sudan is not one of rare or ethnicity, but a political one that requires political solutions.

There are two main rebel movements in Darfur. They are the Sudan liberation Movement and the Justice and Equality Movement. And why they happened. Because African there, they don’t have equal rights, they are lack of the protection of government. So, the best way to solve the problem is a dialogue based on the equal paricipation in all levels of government, a commitment to the principle of decentralisation and a federal government based on diffusion of authority between the centre and the regions, distributon of wealth between the centre and regions to achieve balanced and sustained developement. Establishing ownership of land in Darfur based on rights of the various tribes, while at the same time taking into consideration the common good in the area.

What’s more, troops in Darfur-AU or UN-must include in their mandate and duties the protection of the civilian population and cooperation with the International Criminal Court. Destroyed villages must be rebuilt and safe return of the original inhabitants must be made possible.

With an understanding of the political depth of the problem, Sudanese government should give peop;e whoever in the country equal right, that is the key to end the civil war. Sudan as a country is in danger, but the danger is coming from government, which refuses to implement the peace agreement signed with the SPLM of the South. Sudanese government has responsibility and necessity to have a peaceful dialogue with African rebels. Give equal right to all people, that is the best solution.

Humanitarian aid is important, but only humanitarian aid is not enough. It is a war and it lasts so many years, so we need more power to solve the problem, we need government.

It is really not a problem of race or ethnicity, but a political one, so genocide is not the key of the problem. So there is no need to give military intervention to prevent genocide.

After all, violence is not a good way to solve a pr

I’ve been looking forward the spring for almost a year. At the beginning of April, I realize its figure moving towards me. Flowers are blooming as if they’re competing for the laurel of the most beautiful flowers in the garden. It seems that everyone is trying its best to set its energy free, in order to display its most beauty to all, even if it may wither sooner. After a few days glorious, the flowers have to be prepared for another long year for the next climax. However, it will never complain.

It may sound a little bit bitter. However, as a matter of fact, to some degree, our youth is the same as the flowers. We make our most efforts to enjoy our youth, making us the most shining group of the society. We’re the essential strength who make the society developing faster, we’re the engines that make the cities full of energy, we’re the bright colors that make the picture of life vivid. However, youth will disappear quietly without leaving a trace for you to pursueing. But when we’re having it, we should cherish it. As we were told in the childhood, we should not pick the flowers at will, the same is true of youth.

I once wished to be a volunteer exceedingly, because nearly all the people around me had had a volunteering experience. However, what they told me is that they had an aweful time there and there is no work for them to do. Despite the bad assessment, I still looked forward to taking part in the Good Luck Beijing volunteer group.

On that very morning, I got on the bus to the National Stadium, wearing the uniform which is not that pretty (Actually, to some degree, it can be regarded as ugly.) But I wouldn’t admit it since the joyfulness has already overlooked everything. The bus was extremely shabby as if it would fall apart at any moment. I thought may be it was produced when PRC was found.

When I arrived at the National Stadium which looks like a bird nest, I was shocked by its magnificent appearance. I thought everyone would admire its beauty during the Olympic Games. Then I became more excited. However, when I stepped into the stadium, the inside part was not so good as its appearance. It was still decorated. The disgusting smell and cold air made me feel uncomfortable.

Our boss seemed very pleased to see us and asked us to have a rest. One hour, two hours, three hours have passed. It was the time to have lunch which was not so abundant as I thought before. After lunch, our boss said with a gentle smile:”You can have a rest after your lunch.”Then, there was another long rest until we got on the bus back to school.

My 6 days’ volunteer job was spent like this. I was quite disappointed with my volunteer experience.

Some critics often complain that the use technology in class is a distraction. They say that students care more about the interesting new things than the knowledge itself. My opinion towards technology using in class is just on the contrary, technology will enhance our ability of absorbing the new knowledge. In this age of TV and the internet, we can remember things more easily and firmly with the tips we learn in TV or internet. We can get whatever information we want .

Teachers ofen ask us to make a presentationto introduce someting. We may at first know little about it, but after some research on the internet, we can be a expert on it. The knowledge on the internet is inexhausted. Instead of looking up in the books, searching the information on the internet is much more convenient, and the information is more diverse. We will then use the information we collect to make a PPT. The pictures and music will make the presentation more interesting, others may understand it easily.

Above all, technology is just like our another teacher. It is a new key to education.
