“I’m legend”
Yesterday, I enjoyed a movie called “I’m legend”. It is a scary but instructive story which happened in New York city. In 2009, a deadly virus spread through our civilization, pushing humankind to the edge of extinction. The leading character Robert is a doctor working for the military. When the president annouced that the island should be sealed off, he stayed in the city, trying to find out the way to cure infected people who can only come out in the dark and was barbarous and brutal, just like beasts. Robert won’t be infected because he has something like immunity in his blood. During the three years alone on the island, he has no one to talk to , only a dog is always be with him. When a woman from the isolated area who aslo has the immunity found him on the island, he found himself almost losing the ability to communicate with people. On a night in 2012, when the infected monsters attacked them, Robert discovered that cure. However, he gave his life to defend it.
I was deeply moved by the movie and the man in the movie. What is the real meaning of life? Why do we live ? Just like the song, “Some people live for the fortune, some people live just for the fame, some people live for the power, some people live just to play the game.” However, Robert sacrificed his life for the cure, for the people throughout the world. I believe that he is not for the fortune, for the fame or for the power, but for a belief deeply-rooted in his heart.
Doctor Robert dedicated his life to the discovery of a cure. He save the world. This is his legend. Light of the darkness. If you haven’t seen the movie, I recommend it to you!
