the olympic torch had arrived beijing yesterday. and the all-round world relay will begin today. since sunday the torch was lighted in Greece, the journey of this torch relay grasp the attention from all over the world. it is not only because it’s a very important part of holding of olympics, but there was some unpleasant accidents happened during the process of lighting the torch. recently, the headlines of all the great newspapers are all about the unrest in tibet.  i had read many reports from both china and foreign media. they all focus on different things. and i guess that is the mainly arguement between us. however, i do not think it has anything to do with the olympics. actually, china, as an independ sovereignty, as the host country of olympics, had done the best to keep peace.  anyway, olympic games mean to calling equality and understanding among people, among countries. even though there were some unpleasure incidents happened, we still hope the 2008 olympic games will be hold successfully.

well ,in fact i chose this article to read just because that i suddenly found my passion of baseball. i must acknowledge that i cannot remember names of the teams during i was watching the games, or name of the famous baseball player, but i love watching these. it is really a charming event but i cannot tell you it is what kinds of feeling.

when i read the title of this article for the first time, i thought that it must be that kind of passage teaching people the basical knowledge of baseball. i am wrong, and it is far more interesting than i thought. it, such as a looking back of the past few seasons, help people refresh their memory of those remarkable moments. and there’s something sensable but easy for us to omit. or we can say the another gave us a room to remmember those moving time and think over the meaning these games left us,just as another mentioned the 50th point –Just do what you love. Success, happiness and money will follow.

michael jordan has always been my hero since i was just a kid, when i first heard people told about him, even i knew nothing about basketball at that time, and i even had no idea what he was fighting for, i even forgot the reason making me admire him. i just, when i heard his name, it is different and powerful, maybe. i believe not just me, but he is a legend in many people’s heart.

that day, vera played a radio clip about michael jordan, which make me become curiously about him again, and i began to google the information about him, and i found that he was such a great person. i guess it is the reason that his fans even the super stars in his age would say that michael jordan can never be replaced by any others. he is not only the best basketball player in NBA, but the greatest all around the world. i had read a magazine had a comment that “it is probably some young lady in the big cities had never heard about the name of bill clinton, however it is pretty sure that even an old lady in the countryside know the mericle player michael jordan.”

i think which made michael jordan famous is not just his great achievements. he ,michael jordan has become the symbol of american dream; he is part of american culture. what he left for his fans, his people, is his spirits of competing, his love of basketball. it cannot deny that he was a very successful commercial celebrity, but he did set a sample for teenages. and now i have kind of ideas that why he is so important for so many people.

china’s table tennis team is always being the powerhouse in this field. and veterans of chinese table tennis team, wang liqin and wang nan, both qualified for the 2008 olympic games this tme. it would be the third time for them participating in olympics.

as a double gold medalist in sydney, wang liqin said there was nothing surprising. and he was pretty confident about this tournament before competition. and for wang nan, it was almost no doubt that she would be in the olympics. before this ,she had won three olympic gold medals and 17 world titles.

this news remind me once i read a piece of news that it is being forbidden for any nation hiring foreign athletes competing in the olympics. it is said that the athletes must register in that country for more than five years and they must be the citizens of the respective nation when they were teenages. and the problem seems very obevious of table tennis. accroding the statistics from ioc, most african nations have chinese verternas in their national teams. this situation made the world-class competition just as the game only for china. but the official of ioc annouced that this method is not only taken for limiting china but all other countries and other sports which might have this kind of problem.

the “bird’s nest”, as one of the great venues built for olypics, has been attracting most attention of citizens. this venue will be the main venue for 2008 beijing olympic games. it has the most advancing equipments there, which mean to provide the successful holding of olympic games. actually, this project is not only for the olympics. actually, it is a important part of beijing;s overall construction plan. and the spokeman said that all key projects are related to the Olympics or to transportation, environmental protection, residents’ livelihood, modern industries and energy resources.

by the way, as a volunteer for the track & field event, i will be one of the first lot garrisoning the “bird’s nest”. the stadium would be completed at the beginning of may, and our testing event will hold in may 22nd. it might become the only chance i stay there to work for the operating of the event. it could be a very remarkable moment in my life. i can’t help expecting the coming of “good luck beijing” series  testing event, the coming of the olympic games. i wonder that what i will be asked to do in the venue? what kind of sense i will see?

in fact, i was really comfused by this article. the author seemed to read china in an old way. the working of the taxis did have some problems before. we all know that chinese government has done their best to improve and avoid any problems which might happen during the olympic games. as the reportor was concerning the inconvinient things would be met accidently during the visitors travel, there is one important part he should have thought. standing on the taxi drivers’ position, the reportor can feel they had speard no effert to practise english which means to serve the forgein visitors a more confortable journey. most of the taxi drivers were not well-educated, so learning english for they is almost an impossible mission, but they did and working hard for this. besides, i believe that we have so many city volunteers. they have the fervor to help the travellers as well as to serve the olympics. during the games, the city volunteers will settle down here and there around beijing. hens, you need not worry about lost the way; you need not worry there would be no one could help you. as a member of the volunteers, i promise. i think the change of beijing, even of china, will not just for the olympics. for holding the olympic games is just a chance for our country to gain a new look.

everything must serve for olympics of 2008, so there are numbers of restaurants, bars and clubs forcing to be closed. this measure means to ensure security at olympic football venue. but this measure had got many disapprovelments for those businessmen. they mentionedhat the problem is not closing their business for one month, but how to deal with the coming several months. they said the workers would go away for other jobs and they maybe not come back again, if they give them such a long vocation. as a result, the whole business must be started with 0.

even though, there still are many people showing their understanding about goverment’s behavior. one store holder, whose tennis equipment store had to be closed since 2006 the renovation of the stadium. actually, he wanted to sue the goverment for paying for his lost at first, however finally he thought it could be a contribution for the 2008 olympic games.

besides, the goverment annoucer said that they will give those business owner some perferential treatment after the games. and that would give those people an advantage to compete with others.

there are more and more young superstars showing out in sports field. most of them are trained from 9 years old or 12, and their parents must pay for the expensive tuition for their training, meanwhile, they need to prepare for spending money for on their frequente injuries. as a result, most of the young superstars are coming from rich family, whose parents can afford such a huge expense. as Dr. Michael Bergeron of the Medical College of Georgia saying, it is no suitable for kids from 9 to 12 training for being superstars. but there still are many little athletes being training hard-corely for that.

sports should be the things making kids feel fun but not hard. actually, it is difficult to feel any fun for those little athletes. they are being training from day to day, which makes them feel tired as adults back from a whole day work. in fact, they are working. they are doing sports as a profession, not fun but sucess. it is ture that it takes more effort for an athlete to sucess, if he/she began his/her training after 15. the coaches and the parents, who push young athletes to that, omitted one thing that kids are doing sports because we are loving sports not for the name of superstar.

China’s Lin Yue and Huo Liang had won the gold medal of men’s 10m platform at the “good luck beijing” 16th FINA Diving World Cup on Friday. it is the 5th gold medal for china diving dream team in these games.  they said that they still had some aspects to improve even they got the gold medal at this time. besides, Newbery and Helm once retired after the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne but came back in mid-2007. and Newbery said that 2008 would be their last chance to compete in olympic games, and he will regart it if he did not come back and try. And this time they just ran to 5th.

china diving team has been the power house of diving, since chinese people came back to olympics. and diving is one event i would like to watch rather than others. it is such a beautiful sport that combined with gymnastics technique.besides, the most charming part is the courage those divers keep. i had been trying to dive as the coach taught us, and the platform was just 1m high, or even later i got the permission to dive at the edge of the pool, but still, there seems to be a hand hold me and stop me. but finally, i did it because of someone’s pushing at the back. actually, there was not a big deal indeed. everyone needed to keep moving forward, and sometimes, just lacking a little courage to be there.

beckham had been bothered by his knee and ankle injuries, since last year he signed with L.A. Galaxy. and his situation made his performance in MLS(major league soccer) way unsatisfaction. this year, the L.A. Galaxy has changed their captain into rudd gullit. he will lead the Galaxy competing in this week’s inaugural Pan-Pacific Championship in Hawaii. according beckham, it would be a good start for the second season he spent in Galaxy.however the coach gullit said that they had not been match-fit yet. besides, the coach of their rival Satoshi Yamaguchi  showed their attitude that they were looking forward to sharing the field with a player such as beckham. who will grasp the victory? let’s wait and see.

i remember there were many arguements when beckham transferred to L.A.Galaxy last year. and many suppositions came out. there’s some reasons very interesting, such as he went to U.S. because of his wife planed to carry out her career in Hollywood, or some said that he moved to America mainly because the persuasion of his buddy tom kruse. there’s also some one saying that he went there for money. but i still believe, he has always been pursuing his dearm as a player.
