Baseball was believed to come from cricket in 19 century. And invented by Abner Doubleday. The rules were set by Lexander J. Cartwright in 1845. And these sports become popular in the 1860s During the Civil War.
Baseball is still known as America’s national pastime despite competition from other professional sports and the game’s evolution into more of an international sport.
The origins of baseball are centered in the northeastern United States. The first official game under modern rules was played at the Elysian Fields in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1846. The man who wrote the rules was Alexander Cartwright, who was part of the first official team, the New York Knickerbockers.
During the Civil War in the 1860s, baseball became an increasingly popular sport among Union soldiers. Baseball’s popularity grew after the Civil War. It attracted donors who wanted to sponsor teams.
In 1869, the Cincinnati Red Stockings became the first fully professional team. From there, more amateur teams turned pro. This was the beginning of what is now Major League Baseball.
Today, baseball is enjoyed by many Americans for many reasons.
Baseball impacted the social fabric of America in the mid-20th century. At a time when much of the United States was heavily segregated, Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in 1947, playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers as the first African-American in the major leagues.
Many others followed, but the process moved slowly, with the final team - the Boston Red Sox - only integrating in 1959.
While several countries enjoy thriving baseball leagues, the international record for baseball is mixed. This year’s inaugural World Baseball Classic, which included Japan, China, South Korea, Australia and several Caribbean countries, was viewed by many as a success. However, the International Olympic Committee announced last year that it was dropping baseball from its list of sports after the 2008 Summer Games.

In July 13, 2001. The International Olympic Committee give the qulification to China to hole the 29th Olympic Games. For this old country who has 5000 years history and civilization, Olympic is a opportunity, it will make the world recognize China, ot also will promote peace, friendship, and development to the world.
Hundred years ago. China is a weak country which ocupied by many foreign countries. In that time, China had no sport. But now, we qualifid to hold the Game.
Now, the Olympic will come, we also will devote into our volunteer works. Best wishes to our country, our Beijing, our Olympic.

Nowadays, there are many unhappy things happrned between Chinese and France. Oliympic torch handed over in French met some frustrations. in our country, people was applied that not to buy anything in Carrefour. Whether our friendship between France was gone. French goverment was apply that there are some misunderstanding between our two countries, they are support our Olympics. but for Chinese, our heart were really hurted. I believe most people in French are friendly and justice. but I hope those people in French who has a high social status and have a lot of money will do something to make sociey harmoniously but not make more confliction and unhappy things.

Everyone know that Chinese diet is very popular in the world. but do you know that Chinese food bring into Olympic menu in 2008. About one thousand kind of Chinese food were recommended to the Olympic comittee.And Chinese food tooke up about 30 percent of the menu.
However, there are also many people disagree to put Chinese food into Olympic menu. Some of them think that Chinese food be cooked too complete and must use many season so that it will spend many time and also very trouble. Others think that foreigner maybe not like the favor of Chinese food.
from my point of view, I think it is a good thing, if people don’t like it, there also have other choices for them. I think this is a opportunity to make our diet culture be known to the people in different cuntries. and it also make athlets have a chance to taste the real Chinese food. to put it in a nutshell. Our Olympic need our custom.

Recently, LluXiang is so popular, people like him and media also make him as a god. but is it LiuXiang a god? Many young people like him very much, not only because his success in sport but also his handsome appearance, and his contribute in entertaiment. Now, he is a star more than an athlete. People like pay more attention to his personal life, his salary and his advertisement more than his sport result.
but LiuXiang is not a god, he is only a success man in his work aera, he can run faster than other but he can’t do everything better than others. we should pay attention on his sport, he is a model for the public, because his sport spirit but not his famous.
so we need to think why we like LiuXiang so much?

Yesterday, the football draw ceremony was ended, I felt so proud that I could be a volunteer to serve the secretary officer Volca as a interpreter. Although my English is not very well, but his kindness make my heart swelled with gratitude. I think that it was a very valuable experience for me.
These days , I was very busy and tired. but I still very happy. I didn’t know football very much, but now, I have a new understanding about this sport. I also gain a chance to see a real football game in the stadium.
I think that volunteering is a very impressive experience for everyone, althougt it with no pay and also very tired, but everyone can gain a lot of experience and knowledge from it.

Several days ago, in Greece, the Olympic torch has been fired, it means that the Beijing 2008 Olympic game has been started.But this holy ceremony was troubled by some people who wanted independed Tibet from our country.
The Olympic fire represent peace, friendship, together, and dream. it is very holy. But those people use it just like an instrument of broad their wrong beliefs and release their dissatisfy.
The Olympic Games is a festival of people all over the world. I believed that most of people in the world are justify and peaceful. our government is very strong, our society is very harmounious.I believe that we will hold a good and impressive Olympic games. so those people will deserve their punishment at last

Yaoming said that his injury will be cure in the next four months so that he will take part in the game of 2008 Olympics. Now, he had came back China for the purpose of cure his injury. After a period, he will back to the United State to continue his cure.He felt very glad for that he can back to the game, he thought that do something to help Chinese basketball in Olympics in our own country is very exciting and unforget.

Patience is very important for athlets, after reading this article about Andy Murray, I feel very  pity.

Lack of ptience will lead the fault. every athletes need a  strong inside because success not only need technical and strong body. Patience is a very important point.

Beckham choose to play for MLS, It seems to be a good chose. In Spain, Beckham was just one of many talented players.
