All of the exams are over!

This morning I finished the last exam. Now I should wait for the upcoming volunteer training week. This time the track and field event is from May 22~25, after that I will have about one month’s holiday. I hope this time the Bird Nest could provide a better working environment! Rencently Herzog and Demeuron came to China, I don’t know what do they think about their masterpiece, which has experienced great changes.

Tonight our departement will hold a party for the senior students who are ready to graduate. This is very important because they are the first group students graduate from our English departement. The 04′ grade only has 64 students, now they all accomplish the study and step towards their future!

I don’t know what I am doing 2 years later. How confused I am! The one-month holiday is a very precious time for me to make my mind clear and make preparation. I think the first is to make fully preparation for the GRE and TOEFL tests, otherwise there will no such a good time waiting for me.

The road is quite long, I wish I won’t leave regrets.

Jackfruit

Jackfruit
Do you know what ’s this?  “I’m Jackfruit!” In Chinese we call it “Bo Luo Mi”(pineapple honey)

Yesterday Winnie’s classmate asked her to arrange a place to sleep for his mother, when his mother came, she gave us a bag of  Fresh Jackfruit!! They live in GuangDong province so this fruit is very common for them. But in Beijing we seldom see them. Even though there are some of them in the supermarkets, they are usually not fresh and extremely expensive. I sometimes buy a bag of “jackfruit chips” which are dried jackfruits produced in Vietnam.

I searched Wikipedia, it says:

“The jackfruit is something of an acquired taste, but it is very popular in many parts of the world. An unopened ripe fruit can have an unpleasant smell, like rotting onions. The light brown to black seeds with white innards are about the 2-3 inches long. People often oil their hands with coconut oil, or paraffin before preparing jackfruit, as the rest of the fruit is a loose white mass that bleeds a milky, sticky sap often used as glue.”

Right, the fruit really has a special smell, girls in our dorm don’t like it though 3 of them come from places where jackfruit is grown. But I think its smell is much better than durian. For me jackfruit it is soooooooooo sweet! So can you guess what’s hapening? The whole bag of fruits belongs to me~~~~

Now I must controll myself, for the fruit contains very high calories!!

Rain

It always rains this week. This morning when I waked up, the it has been raining. So this year heat does not come very early like in the past years. Many people don’t like rain because the weather makes them feel depressed. However, it is my favourite weather. I also like cloudy days. The air is cool and fresh. I like cold more than hot, and I hate I am easily to sweat in summer.

Rain is elegant. It makes my head clear and provide me a cozy environment so that I can do what I want with a good mood. Whenever it rains, I have a foreboding that I can succeed in that day’s work. I’m very happy that today is a cool day, maybe I can recite all the reviewing materials!!!

Rainy day is “the day in paradise”!! Just now an old children’s song came into my mind, I recited many many times when I was young:

Rain , Rain go away,

Come again another day,

Little Johnny wants to play.

Rain on the green grass and rain on the tree,

rain on the housetops but not on me!

Ay…I really hope I am still a young girl…

Farewell to chocolate for 3 days~

Yesterday is the busiest day, but after the busiest, the relief comes. In the morning I had exam of writting class. We were required to write 2 essays of 250 words each in one hour and a half. To be honest, it was not very easy, for time was limited while the essays must be not too bad. I always tend to write more than required. Of course this time again I write a little more, especially on the first essay, so I felt rather intense when I wrote the second one.

When the exam was over, Maggie sent back our homework essays, including the very formal arguement essay on which I spent the most time and energy. Well, hard work deserved good end. The grade was fairly satisfying. It’s the first time for me to write such thick papers!

And, Thank you Maggie! Your class has taught me a lot of things.

Unfortunately, afternoon’s extensive reading exam was a little bleak. I have kept hundreds of vocabulary in heart but I didn’t meet most of them in the vocabulary quesions. So I didn’t answer well on that setion. But when exam finished, any small discontentment meant nothing. What can I complait about?

Next Tuesday we will have only one exam, which is the last one. Thanks God, now I can take a rest and don’t have to worry about chocolates for 3 days !

Today I must jog more. Run! Run for the chocolate!

Chocolate…

This week we have 5 exams, but that’s not the most terrifying. The schedule did anything but good for us: 2 exams a day!!! Those exams need us to remember many things in heart, so these week is the “memory week”~:)

Though the urgent time can make people active, there’s still anxiety. For me, it is not the exam bothers me, but the chocolate!

Why? —-I have a habbit that before an exam I believe eating something sweet would help me with the test. It seems that sweet food is helpful to the brain functioning. When I am thinking, I need a great deal of energy to consume, and suguar is the most capable supplier. So I always take something sweet to the classroom, usually a bar or some pieces of chocolate, for it contains abundant calories.

Ok, you can say my theory is superstition, but I have get used to “chocolate before exam”, which is like a rite that can give me confidence. If I forget it for one time, I will have the feeling of not being protected.

Girls greatest enemy is chocolate, this is the same to me. But exam does not come all the time, so eat a little bit of chocolate 2 times a year is acceptable. But this time—-in such a dense exam week, I have to eat many chocolates in one day so I’m afraid that I would spend a month to use up those calories…

Now there have been small acnes on my chin, I doubt it is due to the chocolates. Those black evils push me in a dilemma, but seeing the hundreds of vocabulary waiting me to keep in heart, I’d better choose the chocolate…

Next time I really hope that our final exams would not be arranged in such a pressing time, otherwise I would be driven crazy! >o<
