IOC president ‘very concerned’ about Tibet

source:http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/04/06/beijing.ioc.ap/index.html

“I’m very concerned with the international situation and what’s happening in Tibet,” Rogge , International Olympic Committee head, said on Monday in Beijing.
“The torch relay has been targeted. The International Olympic Committee has expressed its serious concern and calls for a rapid peaceful resolution in Tibet,” Rogge said in a brief speech at the meetings’ opening ceremony.
Yes the torch relay is targeted by Dala lama, who lieing to everybody and tries very hard to destroy the Olympics.
Roger also expressed that we should downplayed talk of a boycott of the Beijing Games, which is against Olympic spirit, and a crazy selfish action.
And no one should try to intervene China’s national affairs by using Olympic, it is turpitude.
Rogge said that “some politicians have played with the idea of boycotts,” but added: “As I speak today, however, there is no momentum for a generalized boycott.”
Athlets have the right to enjoy wonderful Olympics, for some of them, it maybe the only Olympics they can attend in their lives, and for the Chinese, it’s the only chance to participate Olympics in for most of them.
But Dalai lama tries to ruining all this by lieing to people and calls for boycott the games which based on untrue things. Most people who want boycott the games never been to China, all their understanding about China are from childish story being created by some newspapers. I hope they can realize the truth, and regret for their deeds. 1.3billion Chinese’s feeling are being hurt.
PS, if you want to understand China, please stop reading CNN. Not doubt its reporters are creative. Creative is good for children, but not for reporters.

Violence and Farce in Torch relay

source:http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article3695050.ece?Submitted=true

April 7, 2008, the olympic torch passed London. Someone who claimed themeslves as peace protector tried to extinguish the torch with a fire extinguisher, they shouted ” stop killing, China!”, or “talk to Dalailama”. The torch had to change its route from Bloomsbury to Chinese Town.
I am really sad and angry. I comprehends that they want us talk to someone who want seperate our dear country, want us to talk to people who want seperater us from our beautiful Tibet, and these people poisoned people who refuses to independ and enven put bombs in buses! In Sichuan, my province, this happened last month, mom told me through the phone! Why they asked China stoped killing? It is Dalailama who kills people! And he is killing while declares he wants peace! Why Lord permits this evil exits? Why people who know nithing about the fact believed their lies and go against Olympic?
Think, why Tibetan issue happens now, not before or after the Olympic thing? Is there really no one behind it?
Please, give me a wonderful Olympic, don’t do wrong things anymore, or you will be regret, you false “peace protectors”!

White House: Bush will attend Beijing Olympics

source: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/21/oly.bush.ap/index.html

The White House said Thursday that China’s  Tibet problem will not affect U.S President George W. Bush to cancel his attendance at the Beijing Olympics. He says we should not connect the athletes with politics. Bush agreed to go to the Olympics last September during the Asia Pacific Economic Council meeting in a meeting with Chinese Chairman Hu in Australia.
Mean while the administration interceded in behalf of Tibetan protesters and requested a firsthand look at how Chinese police were dealing with them.
I ‘m very happy that Bush will attend the Olympics, and I think it will be pretty safe in Beijing during the Olympics. It is nice of him to make his announcement when people are doubt about the safey of China. But I thinkUS have no right to have a firsthand look at how Chinese police were dealing with Tibetan. It’s China’s interior affair, shouldn’t be interrupted by other country. And I thust our government, I believe they can slove this matter perfectly. I hope all the nations in China can love each other as before. I love beautiful Tibet, I love brave Tibetans. Please let things go back to peace. Please let the bad people in Tibet who make all the Tibetans suffer in order to gain personal benifit, in oder to rule Tibetans as King, be punished, My Lord.

Should ICO’s doubt on Beijing air condition

source: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/SPORT/03/17/beijing.air/index.html

IOC harbors doubts over Beijing conditions

First I wonder if CNN had ever said anything positive about China.
The International Olympic Committtee  has given a tentative thumbs upfor the Beijing Games after its independent inquiry but said that there are still risks to athletes in the outdoor endurance events(Is there really such a  place that people have no risks on doing anything? We may tumble when we walk, and it may cause deadly injury. Will we not walk any more?)
And Haile Gebrselassie, a Olympic marathon runner, announced that he will not run in the 2008 Olympic Marathon for the fear of his health. And are considering if he should attend the 10,000 meters beacuse there are some risk to competitors in endurance events and he suffers asthma.
I wonder if he ever drive, for every driver has some risk of crash.
In fact, I have asthma since I was young too, but it get better since I came to Beijing. Beijing is a dry city compaired to Sichuan, and dry air is good to people who suffer asthma. What’s more, asthma always happens in winter, not August, hot summer.
Haile Gebrselassie also expects people to follow his lead.
I hope people come to Beijing, I want a wonderful Olympics, and I hope to be a good volunteer, so please consider our vonlunteers’ feelings and keep your mouth shut, Gebrselassie.

Does human beings really have the reasoning power?

Does human beings really have the reasoning power?
A doubt after reading  a report from CNN about Olympic and Tibet

source: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/03/24/torch.relay/index.html

Activists protesting China’s crackdown in Tibet briefly disrupted the Olympic flame-lighting ceremony in Greece on Monday, calling for a boycott of the Summer Games in Beijing later this year.
This is what taked about on Today’s CNN. China is crackdown in Tibet, and they want to boycott the 2008 Olympics.
I wonder these people  really has reasoning power as human being. Does they really understand what is  happening in China?
I am a student from Sichuan province, a province just beside Tibet, and there are many Tibetans living there. I see no singal sign as they have being discriminated. Tibetans are the only nation to allowed to keep broadsword with them everywhere. Other nations in China can’t even bring a broadsword in a train. As in the every year college entrance examinations, government also has rules which are favorable to Tibetans. And as I remembered, they are very kind, outgoing students, we always make good friends. Yes, we have culture differences, but there are differences very where, between provinces and nations and even between people. And beacuse of these differences, Chinese culture is beautiful.
And China always China, no matter what nation became the majority. 100years before, Man nationality ruled China for hundreds of years, Han nayinality never denied they belong to China, never denied they are Chinese. And today, every nation, no matter how small it is, have their rights protested, why should we bresk up with eachother?
In Tibet, some bad people supported by countries I don’t want to mention its name, they want to seperate Tibet, our dear Tibet from China. As I was living near Tibet, since I was in high school, I heared that these people keep poison water in Tibetan’s villege, where people want peace and happyness and don’t want to seperate from China.
Acorddinh to the CNN, there French artists even want to boycott the 2008 Olympics. I wonder if they are very selfish. Olympics have nothing to do with the politics, this is the first. Second, there are thusands of athlets from many countries trained very hard for many years in hope of win a sacred Olympic medal. And perhaps this is their last chance in their lives to attend the Olympics. Soon they will not in the best time for sports. And there are thusands of volunteers training themselves for a whole year and hoping to devote themselves to the Olympics. They only have this one chance in their whole life. You want to ruin their lives all? Just because you support few bad people who kill Tibetans and other people and want this scared place seperate from China? And without real understanding on Tibetans? And even want to achieve this purpose by connect it withi the Olympics and ruin more people’s lives?
Will the Activists have more reasoning power and more understanding about China and more love as human beings? Will they leave us living and loving eachother and stoping seperating us under their own believes?
Please, my lord, don’t allow this thing happen.
Please, my lord, guid these stray lambs.

American Lindsey Vonn won the World Cup downhill title yesterday. She is a four-time World Cup downhill winner with two runner-up finishes this season, win 655 points. In the last race left, she did a little mistake near the bottom of the course and finished 0.01 behind Styger who won the race by 1: 45.49. So Lindsey Vonn became the first American woman to claim the crown since Picabo Street in 1996.

She said she is a little bummed out by the last little lose, but she is still very happy.Second is awesome, she said.

American athletes to eat majority of meals in Olympic village

  source:http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/news?slug=ap-usoc-beijingfood&prov=ap&type=lgns

American athletes to eat majority of meals in Olympic village

Olympic Committee officials said Friday that American athletes will have their most dinner in Olympic village, and they are very confident about the food quality. Most of the food will be shiped to China because Chinese food are said to have drug and insecticide problom. But some of the food supply will use high quality local food.

BOCOG has a contract with food-service provider Aramark, and McDonald’s is also a popular destination for athletes in the village.

That seems to cost a lot of money.

I think it’s not necessory to ship most of the food for Olympics. In fact, high quality local food can cover the need, there is no need to import food, especially when we remmeber the poor children in Africa or even in some aera of China, they dnon’t have enough food. We provide athletes with foods imported from far away country for asports games while the local food can cover most of the need is a kind of wast. What we should do is use the qualified local food and import the necessary part, not the most part.

Christie will not carry Olympic torch: GLA

Source:http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/news?slug=reu-torchchristiedc&prov=reuters&type=lgns

Linford Christie refused to be  one of 80 torch relay runners in 2008 Beijing Olympics when touch pass London.
He declared he would not recieve government’s invitation as a touch runner. But GLA says that they didn’t even invite him to be a touch runner, the news that they want Christie to be one of the touch runners is only a rumor. Only major has right to nominate touch runners and he isn’t in Major’s list .

But spokesman for Nuff Respect, a sports marketing agency established by Christie in 1992, said earlier on Friday that Linford Christie had indeed been asked to join the relay.

Christie won the 1992 Olympic 100 meters gold medal but tested positive for the steroid nandrolone in 1999 and served a two-year ban.

Christie denied taking performance enhancing substances, but still is not allowed to work in any official capacity with the national Olympic team beacuse of cheating.

This became his reason for refuse to join the Olympic touch relay.

Christie said:”I made it crystal clear that no one convicted of a drugs offence and banned for life under our bylaw should run with the Olympic flame,” Moynihan told The Times. “I could not feel more strongly on the subject.”

The retired middle-distance runner Kelly Holmes is the only touch bearer name released so far by the GLA.

Houston 93, Cleveland 85

Houston gained the 9th consecutive win of this season by beat Cleveland. This is the longest consecutive win of this season.

Yaoming didn’t do very well in this game, only add  Yao Ming added 16 points and 14 rebounds. It is Rafer Alston who lead Houston to win, he scored 22 points. Battier suscessfully blocked Cleveland’s LeBron James.

Rocket have a very good attitude towards its wining.”We don’t want to get tired of winning,” said Tracy McGrady,  ” everybody came back and we said, ‘Let’s start it off right.” He added 17 points on just 6-of-21 shooting.

Cleveland’s James was blocked by Battier, who got support from teammates, and missed all seven shots in the first half. But he did a great job in assist in the third and his shots didn’t start falling with regularity until the fourth. His 3-pointer brought the Cavaliers within 70-66.

Battier admits “Anyone who says he can guard him (James) one on one is lying,” Battier said. “What you have to have is support behind you, great communication. “

Its a great pity that Cleveland lost the game, for I liked Cleveland and James very much. Whatever, my most favourate team won, this is what important.
