Hi Dear Josef,
I do not know why but I do not like face book.
I joined and left. I don’t see the use of such a site.
But I ‘ll try to see what’s up there.
Regards

Dear Joe,
People who don’t like Facebook and similar sites should stay away from them as they are meant for those who understand the benefits of being connected with the people, colleagues and friends from all over the world. However, such sites will also keep you informed and having an English Club on Facebook is simply a step forward. So just keep on going.
All the best,
Maja

What’s more, your Cafe inspired me to open my own Virtual Classroom on Facebook about five months ago and that’s a good opportunity for distant learning with students -teenagers (who are “online” on Facebook all the time).

Hi maja,
your comment surprised me.That is my opinion and I think you have to respect it.
Good luck with your virtual classroom and try to learn to be kind to others.

Dear Hanane,
Your response surprised me a lot as I didn’t have an intention to insult or disrespect anybody’s opinion. I simply said that people should have the right to choose whether to use and like certain sites. If you don’t see the use of such a site and you don’t like the fact that this cafe is on Facebook it doesn’t mean that it is a bad idea. Simply put, people who don’t like Facebook will not use its benefits. That is all I wanted to say!
I deeply regret my comment made you feel unpleasant!
Enjoy your teaching!
All the best,
Maja

Hi Arabic Wolf,
Well, I’m not chatting with anybody so I’m afraid my answer will be a bit biased.
Facebook account (if used properly and honestly) is your personal profile, where you can write something about yourself, represent yourself and post pictures of your family and friends. You add the people you know and make a network of your friends and family. It’s like your badge or a business card.
I use it only to be connected to my friends and family (especially those who live far away from me and I have no other way of communicating with them) I show them pictures of my family and if they’re online I chat with them.
As I understand, on chat sites you meet people you have never met (who can lie about their identity, trick you and so on) and with Facebook you connect with the people you already know.
Some drawbacks of Facebook are applications I always ignore and some people use it for fun only and for adding as many people as they can (I never accept requests from strangers- I have a lot of real friends)
I hope I helped you!
Regards,
Maja

Hello all,
My name is rizki from Jakarta. Nice to know u all. In jakarta, FB is very famous. I think FB is very interesting. why? cause I can meet all my friends from kindergarden, elementary, junior high school & univesity. isn’t great, I mean u can meet people that long time not see. And u can know about them it and also know how they feel. FB can give u support when u feeling down, u can write it on your status how is your feeling than when your friends read it, they can give a support that u need. I also can keep communication with my friend that far away from jakarta.

Helloww Josef, how´ve you been? I´m from Brazil and I confess that I liked to know EnglishClub homepage. I discover recently but the channel is a path and a way to help people who have willpower to learn another language, especially an universal language as the English. Here I find a strong arm for this learning and one of the places who has helped me overcome certain difficulties in language. I´m on facebook too. Take care brother and I appreciated the initiative.
