The fact that I was able to speak English by the time I was ten years old, combined with the fall of Communism in Romania around the same time, gave me the opportunity to communicate and travel extensively, mainly throughout Europe, starting in 1990. I lived and worked in the UK for more than 2 years but came back to Bucharest in 2005 and started building a career in recruitment. However, I never lost contact with the Anglo-Saxon world and English is part of my every-day life through literature, music and correspondance, networking and socialising.

Speaking English is an open door to the world. I have taught it for over 10 years now and still believe there is plenty to learn, teach and do. I always put my heart into what I do and would like to transmit that to everyone.

Luiz Alexandre Gruszynski
I am a Brazilian journalist living in the city of Porto Alegre, which is the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, the southest state of Brazil. I’m being involved in English for many years and so I’m able to read, write and speak reasonably but I’m sure I have to improve all these skills. I never travelled to any country where English is the main language, so I lack experiences that everyone who lived in some English speaking countries gets. I try to compensate through the Internet, listening to Podcasts, radio stations and reading magazines. I’m no doubt that English today is the universal language and since the world became - more than ever thanks to the Internet - a global village.
