Scandalous News on Ronaldo

Posted in Uncategorized on May 1st, 2008

Two times World Cup winner with Brazil, Ronaldo, is now bothered by frontpage headlines about two prostitutes and him. It has already developed onto the level of law. One of the prostitutes accused him of using drugs and not wanting no pay.
This Tuesday, two cross-dressing prostitutes went to motel with Ronaldo before the motel owner realized the two prostitutes were cross-dressing. Ronaldo paid $600 to end it but they didn’t accept it. Ronaldo converted it to reals. But they asked for $30,000 before Ronaldo made the payment. The cross-dressing prostitutes also yelled to the streets, ” The phenomenon doesn’t want to pay!”
After the investigation, the two prostitutes said Ronaldo was using drugs and didn’t want to pay them money, but no evidence showed that Ronaldo used drugs. So it was clear that the two prostitutes wanted to extorted money from Ronaldo.

Journal 12 :Where Is Their Friendship?

Posted in Uncategorized on April 19th, 2008

<a href=’http://eslblogs.englishclub.com/ilovesports/files/2008/04/0013729e45180973837603.jpg’ title=’0013729e45180973837603.jpg’>0013729e45180973837603.jpg Sport is sport, which shouldn’t be related to politics, right?
Yet the Olympic spirit is once again challenged by our human beings, especially some French leaders whose actions never reconcile with their words.
Tibet is a part of China, right? There is no doubt about it. Yet some foreiners ignore the truth of history and aim at destroying the peace and unification of China. They connive the rudeness of some Tibetans who claims the independence of Tibet and their connivance causes the diruption of the Olympic torch relay in Paris. Some of them also announce that they will boycot the Olympics this August.
Who destroys the spirit of Olympics? Who relate Olympics to politics? Who? It’s not us, it’s them!
We have spent lots of time and money on the preparation of Olympic events and our Chinese all want to show our friendship to them. Even though we have expirenced bitter invasion by them in history, yet we would like to restart our friend communication. When foreiner visit China, we regard them as guests and try to help them as possible as we can. This is the main stream of Chinese people’s attitude towards foreiners.
However, this has changed. We are angry! We never want to be friendly to them any more just because we are angry!
The birds’ nest, the water cube…They are just there, waiting for the forein friends to visit. Yet they may experience the indifference of them.
Will you be angry if you have fully prepared a dinner for your guest and he says he will not come?
Our Chinese are just too tolerant! We forgive their rudeness in history and show our friendship to them. But where is their friendship? Where?

Nadia Comaneci Has No Successor

Posted in Uncategorized on April 10th, 2008

The Romanian team lacks elite gymnasts to achieve their dream of gymnastic gold medal despite a promise of awarding 100,000euros and an off-road car by the government which is sponsored by lots of famous firms.
Their first problem is the lack of elite athletes to choose from. Since much preference is weakened these years, inspite of the fervent celebration to Nadia Comaneci’s succesive triple gymnastics gold medals and her perfect ten in 1976 Olympics.
Their second problem is the lack of elite coaches. Nadia Comaneci’ s coach has been to US to inspire US team and his successor Belu also faces lots of queations. e.g: The critics on their iron principles and the cuts on the money prize as well as some problem related to the athletes’s life.
They only have two athletes who have potential to win gold medal in Beijing Olympic this August, but one of them faces the problem of injuries.
At last, we may see a decline of Romanian gymnastic reputation this year. However, I hope they will recover from the bad situation quickly.

The 10th journal: Chinese Footballer–Our Nightmare

Posted in Uncategorized on March 27th, 2008

I have talked about Chinese footballer Zhenzhi in the prior articles. He is in the charge of an England club Charlton Athletics now and he is also a member of the Chinese national team. Among the Chinese national team footballers who undertake our dream of entering the 2010 World Cup, Zhenzhi is the one who receives the best reputation, at least, from my point of view I think so.
He is once again trapped in the situation that both the club he serves for and the Chinese national team demand him to paticipate their own competitions on behalf of them between two competitions there are only a interval of two days for him to travel by plane and take a rest. However, after he paticipate the match for his club, he follows the national team’s demand and returns to China to competete against Australia for the World Cup qualifier.
He is on field for about 60 minutes, defencing the mid field excellently and thus moving the heart of audience deeply who understand that ZZ must be very very tired.
Despite his effort in the mid field and other partners’ effort, China tie to Australia with 0:0. What is ridiculous is that the lead player of Australia is not playing on field that day and the Australian team is the visiting team.
They should have kicked one goal at last, because they have a free kick in the last minutes. However, Shaojia, who replaces ZZ in the 60th minutes, misses that goal, which disappoints all the audience in the stadium, also all the Chinese fans.
They disappoint us again! When can we see the success of Chinese football team!
We really have a long way to go!

A Slumping Footballer, Michael Owen

Posted in Uncategorized on March 4th, 2008

null
There is no doubt that Michael Owen has been a elite and talented footballer. He scored 118 goals and won five cups with Liverpools. From his appearance as a 18-year-old genius at the 1998 World Cup, Owen was expected as one of the most prolific scorers in the world. He has netted 40 in 88 appearance for his countries.
However, all this has changed, leaving the glorious past for us to reminisce. He moved the the Real Madrid in 2004 and then moved to Newcastle. He supposed that he could survive the Newcastle team but he failed since he got badly injured during the 2006 World Cup.
On Saturday, the team faced a 1-0 loss at home to Blackburn. He missed five chances during the match and the fans were very angry with his performance. He said after the match that he couldn’t have missed so many chances but that was football which was changing all the time.
They have lost the three points, this means that they slipped within three points of the relegation zone. Michael Owen thus may be headed out of the Premier League.
I hope Owen would recover from this situation and regain his talent in the soccer field! So do many fans, I believe!

Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady lead Rockets past Hornets for 11th-straight win

Yao Ming</a

Last night, Houston Rockets succeed in beating New Orleans Hornets, with Yao Ming scoring 28 points and Tracy McGrady scoring 34 points. New Orleans Hornets is a very strong team according to their performance. Ther were suppose to get their five-game winning streak, which, however, was snapped by Houston Rockets.
>

Bonzi Well and Mike James, two former Rockets players, now has been traded to New Orleans. The two didn’t joined the match last night but watched their new team run out of the building by their old team. But the trading hasn’t become official now.
This morning, I heard on radio that there was lots of disputes between the two leading players, Yao Ming and McGrady. McGrady always wanted to shoot by himself and was seldom willing to assist Yao Ming. But now it can be said that McGrady has changed his attitude towards Yao Ming and becomes to understand the importance of corperation. In last night’s game, he made lots of assists to Yao Ming and lots of people recommended that the former Rockets was McGrady’s Rockets but now it is YaoMing’s Rockets!

The world’s fastest swimsuit

OK, I have found the news report about the Speedo LZR racer swimsuits. I can introduce it as following:

1)Material: It is made of a unique lightweight, water repellent and fast-drying fabric.

2)The advantage it brings to us: It seems seamless, and thanks to the material, it can reduce the drag and make the swimmers’ body in a more streamlined shape. It can help the oxygen intake and increase the swimming effiency by 5% in terms of that.
