In the early February, Good Luck swimming test event was held in the Water Cube, and it was the first time for citizens to visit Water Cube. Many people rushed to buy tickets; however, some people seemed just interested in the Water Cube, not the match.
As for the Water Cube, it is planned to be designed as a “supporting role” in relation to the Bird’s Nest, but it has its own business operation. The Water Cube is the only one funded by donations from the Chinese public, so it should be made available to the general public after the Olympic Games finish. In order to sustain the Olympic venue after the Olympics, the company which is going to run the venue after the Games has already launched its Water Cube mineral water bottled in Canada. And managers have also revealed that the center will be changed in to a shopping mall and water park. The company will sell drinks, swimwear and memorabilia related with Water Cube.
Water Cube has been a significant image of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and it will be an important image of China after the Olympics. The Water Cube is just at the beginning of its usage. We believe that if it can reinvent itself as fast as the society develops, it will become a part of the citizen’s life. We are looking forward to the Water Cube’s future.

Lakers acquire Pau Gasol from Grizzlies, good news for the Lakers and good news for Kobe Bryant.
In order to change for Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies, the Lakers gave up Kwame Brown, rookie Javaris Crittenton and two first-round draft picks. However, it is a great deal. For Gasol, he had been the All-Star, the franchise leader in 12 statistical categories, and the hero of the Grizzlies. But last season, the Grizzlies is only a 13-win team. In the team, Gasol was a lonely hero.

As compare to Gasol, the hero of the Lakers Kobe Bryant has felt lonely for several seasons. At the beginning of this season, he was almost sold to the Bulls because of the scarcity of useful players in the team. After the scandal, Kobe became mature, and learned to cooperate with his teammates. Under his leading, several rookies quickly grew up. Bynum, the Lakers’ center, was even predicted to be the Shaquille O’Neal second. The Lakers quickly ranked the first in the west area. But the good situation was ended when Bynum injured his knee in Jan.13. And I think that is the mainly reason why the Lakers decide to change for Gasol.
Now, the heroes are no longer lonely. All the Lakers are excited about the arrival of Gasol. They feel “the sky is the limit” for the new-look Lakers. They have looked for the championship rings for several years. The only thing they need to do right now is just as Kobe said “Now it’s time to walk the walk.”

Novak Djokovic, before the Australian Open 2008, he was nobody in tennis; in the Australian Open, he was a dark horse; after the Australian Open, he has the fresh tennis prince.
January 27th, Djokovic beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and won his first slam title. The most important thing was the young handsome player break the Federer-Nadal stranglehold on the men’s game. The article said he lost the crowd but won the match. He didn’t real lose the crowd, for he was a rookie, he didn’t have much crowd support him. All the crowd were cheering for Federer during the semifinal, and again cheering for his opponent Tsonga in the final. He really had frisson when he heard the noise. However, he kept his head in the match, and finally won instead of lose.
Djokovic has excellent skill and more excellent psychology. He will get more mature and more attractive. I think it won’t be long for him to win both the crowd and the matches.
