Chambers ‘must help drugs fight’
I know that now the number of drug-taking athletes is increasing since the difference is becoming smaller and smaller since drugs are serving as very good edge advantages.Another thing I know about doping is that the anti-doping seekers also have been practicing themselves sharp and shrewd. The cat and mouse game is always fierce without an end. However, I did not kown that the cat and the mouse can cooperate for the same aim which is anti-doping until I read the following lines “We need much more cooperation from those who have been caught and are prepared to share knowledge with us.” This is the quotation from propbably a drug tester
UK sport’s John Scott said he welcomed recent World Anti-Doping Agency proposals to provide convicted drugs cheats with the incentive of lesser sentences if they co-operate fully with the authorities.I think this is an acceptale proposal. It is a win-win method which allows to fulfill mutural interests, but one of the biggest challenges is that the natural reaction of any athlete that has been caught is denial. Athletes like Chambers having the willingness to cooperate is not the mainstream, so had taken the measure mentioned above, the bottleneck is how to conquer those former drug cheats.
The lesser sentence is a very good temptation, but I think people who implement it should be careful with the threshold, for if the sentence be lessened too much, say swifts a life long ban to a several years’ban, then many wily athletes may take the risk of taking the dope, because they may think a very advantageous Olympic Game deserves a risk of a several years’ban. But if the penalty is lifelong ban from any matches then it is quite another thing. On the contrary, if the sentence is not changed in a significant degree by cooperation, the cheats may refuse to tell any information.In this way the situation is quite paradoxical, enough a dilemma. Way is always been exploring, and though people come up many unexpected adversities, they prefer to believe hope always exist. It may not be here but might be there.
