The Power of Sport

What is the most powerful thing in this world? Drugs? Weapons? True love between a boy and a girl or family? Well One thousand readers make one thousand Hamlets, but I believe everyone agrees that sport is the world’s obsession; the power of sport is irresistable. However, there are someone who want to challenge this power.

Lately I have heard a lot of negative news about the overseas torch relay, the ferocities of the nerved Tibetan terrorists have been doing, the extinguishing of the torch which is the most symbolic thing of the Olympic in the Paris leg of relay, different forms of disturbance of peace., injury , death so on and so forth. These deeds are apparent breaches of the spirit of the Olympics and you can see the tone of an incongruous Olymic is set before us, we Chinese, so we must take heart and fight against those detractors’ trumpeted fallacy and there is no margin for error. The Olympic will survive. The power of sport will ruin them who have underestimated this power, and I want to tell those ignorant terrorists that sport is powerful enough todrain one of all one’s emotions. Sport is something you can enjoy not only by watching but also by playing for your own. Be rich or poor, healthy or disabled, young or old.

Sport is so charming. No one is right to assault the holy spirit of sport. Those terrorists thought they could destroy the Olympic. They are totally wrong. Every sport lover and peace lover will slap the terrorists in the face telling them how they are overwhelmed by sport, and how they are crazy about the greatest sports gala, the Olympics. No one is supposed to boycott or disturb the Olympics for the sake of sport.

One more thing to say, sport is powerful and so are our Chinese people. Fight back and we do not allow others to belittle us!
