Palm Sunday
Today is the Sunday before Easter and Christians celebrate
Palm Sunday. In Lithuania, people buy ‘verba’ that will
bring good spirit to the house after it is blessed in the church.
There are many traditional ‘verba’ and some more original.
This year I got late to the city and the weather wasn’t very
good, so I got to see only a bit of Palm Sunday.

Hi Kootvela. Interesting comment about Palm Sunday. I’m going to be posting some comments and a photo of Palm Sunday in a South American school on my blog so watch out for it! Is “verba” some kind of plant? That seems quite a superstitious practice - I’ve never heard Christians doing that before… In Ireland we celebrate Palm Sunday with some palm leaves given out to children during a church service - or sometimes a church might be decorated with them but not homes…
