Judging from your hysterical comments, you've just lost your job as a DOS. My appologies. Get a life instead of spamming blogs. You don't even leave a contact but I have your IP.

Dear n/a,

the problem is that there are no, NO, en-ou, teachers to cover for absent teachers because others have their own lessons to do. Nobody wants to work in state schools.

I wonder when do you find time to update your life time schedules and so on and on...? If you complain how hard you work, and how tired you are I can tell you two things: or you are obviously an idiot; or you are obviously not that busy at all that you have time to update your web!!!!

Congratualtions!
On your one year mile marker of self employment.
I have been self employed while raising my daughter for the past 5 years-fortunately her mommy has a better paying job than I do!
What you're doing takes real guts, best wishes for the coming year.

Hi,
I like your website and it's very interesting to follow what you are doing there.
When I give a private Trial Class, I always tell them up front that, it may be a trial class, but it's not free, and I charge the regular rate. So far I have had one student who was serious about taking a trial class and paying for it, which was not a problem, because I still got paid. She was doing trials with several teachers and picked the one she liked the most.

What I don't like is someone spending several emails and phone calls trying to set up a class then can't decide if they want a private class or not. But that's part of the business of privates I guess. I just keep those kind of emails short and to the point. Which discourages them from trying to practice their English for free, while pretending to be interested in a real private class.

Best of Luck,
I would like to see your new hair-Do that you raved about, hahahaha.
Take care

Hi Kootvela!

I found some of your comments in EslCafe very helpful and sent you a pm there, but I 've had some trouble loggin' in there recently and can't check my pms as a result. Sent a mail to Dave Sperling about the problems, waiting for his response. I'm actually not sure if you received my message, so I thought I could repeat the same questions here.

So my situation is: I'm a Russian English teacher with 8+ years of experience. Did CELTA in 2004 and have been working for IH Moscow since then. I have an IH Certificate in teaching Young Learners and have been a practising Cambridge (FCE, CAE, BECs, KET, PET, YLE, you name it) examiner since 2006 and IELTS Speaking examiner since 2007.

My life is likely to take a twist some time soon and I might end up in Lithuania. I know that finding job in an EU country for a non-EU citizen is a difficult task and being a non-native speaker doesn't help things. However, given I sort out the work permit issue on my own (I hope I know how), is there a chance for me to land a more or less decent job in Vilnius?I can teach pretty much anything, though I'm not too good at teaching Business English and kids. I'm particularly interested in teaching exam classes/students - is there a market for them in Lithuania?

Sorry for asking the same things twice, but I really hope to get your response sooner than I can log in properly at ESL cafe - things don't get too fast there, unfortunately.

Many thanks in advance. Hope I'm not too much of a nuisance ;)
