Sport and the Pride of a Notion
Nowadays, Olympic torch rally becomes a hot topic on and off campus. Not only does it relate to the Olympics, but also it is connected with the nation’s pride. Beijing Olympics is a long-cherished dream for all the people of Chinese Origin. Chinese people home and abroad all take much attach to it. In this passage, it is said about 5,000 Chinese Canadians gathered in downtown Vancouver Saturday to voice their support for the Beijing Olympics and denounce some western media’s biased coverage of the riots in Tibet. It shows no matter where you are, you should not forget your nation. While the all nation are taking their effort to make this Olympics more impressive and rememberable, some people who bear evil mind become active in destroy the process of Olympics. They regard our nation as their enemy, using this opportunity to provoke to our government. However, It is the international community’s consensus that Tibet is an inalienable part of China. Therefore, every one should take pride in our country to hold Olympics instead of lose its face.
Olympics, as a grand sports event in the world, unite all the nations. There are no boundaries between sports. Someone said, “Sport brings us peace.” The people in a country should as become the peace-maker and devote themselves to the prosperity of their nation.
