Liverpool V.S Arsenal— 3 times a week!!

April 13th, 2008 by miki1

It is usually for football teams to play against each other for 2 times per year, how about playing with the same opponent for 3 times in a week? Even their fans may feel exhausted. But Liverpool and Arsenal, who are both come from England, have had this experience this week.
Three games including two games in UEFA Cup and one game in the England Primier League, Liverpool, who was not as hot as Arsenal this season, was considered the under dog in this series.
But reality showed that Liverpool was not that easy to beat, in the 1st round of the UEFA Cup and the England Primier League, Liverpool tied with Arsenal as road team in both games.
The third round of their P.K pushed this series into a climax, when Adebeyor scored the goal which put the game to 2-2, fans of Liverpool just felt desperate because their beloved team would be eliminated if this score remained until the end of this game. But hero always jump out in such moments. Ryan Babel, who was substituted in 75′ of this game, won a penalty just 1 minute after Adebayor scored his goal. Steven Gerrard, who was the captain of Liverpool, scored the penalty under so much pressure. Just one minute from hell to heaven! Ryan Babel scored another goal in the end of this game which made the victory more certain.
This series could be called a classic in this years soccer field. Fans would remember it in heart even after many years.

MVP— Who deserves?

April 8th, 2008 by miki1

As the end of the regular season coming near, the controversies that who should win the MVP of the regular season become more and more hot. Chris Paul from New Orlean Hornets, Kobe Bryant from Los Angelous Lakers, Lebron James from Cleverland Caverliers, Kevin Garnett from Boston Celtics, they are all the hottest MVP candidates. They all have their own advantages and disadvantages, who deserves the MVP? Different people will have different opinions.

                   Chris paul— the young leader
New Orlean have played their best performance this season, who has contributed most? The answer must be Chris Paul, who is just a third grade player for NBA, what he has done in this season? 21.6 points per game, 11.5 assissts per game, 2.7 steals per game, 49.2% feild goal accuracy, 37.1% 3 points accuracy, he leads the APG and SPG in the entire league. Despite his personal statistics, he leads New Orlean rank 1st in the fierce Western Conference. Lacking of off-season experience may become his biggest disadvantage, can he solve this problem well? Let’s see in the playoffs.
                   Kobe Bryant— never beaten warrior
At the beginning of this season, there is the rumor that Kobe will trade into Chicago bulls, but this rumor did’t affect Kobe and his team a little bit, Kobe never give up in the way of being a champion. Paul Gasol’s coming has strengthen the power of L.A Lakers, the only question about him is about his performance when Gasol and Odom is injured, he is not that stable to get wins.
Lebron James— is he a human being??
30+8+8, statistics that looks inhuman, no one will doubt about his personal ability, his performance game after game tell people the meaning of “impossible is nothing”, but no one will give the MVP who can’t lead his team in a higher rank. His team’s performance is the biggest problem for Lebron.
Kevin Garnett— the leader of the best team
Kevin Garnett, who was traded into Boston Celtics in last summer, formed the “Big Three” with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, their team ranked first in the entire league, as the leader of this team, Kevin is sure to be a hot candidate for MVP.

April 8th, 2008 by miki1

2010 FIFA World Cup qualification games have played previous week, China had played against the new member of Aisan Football Confederation—-Austrilia.
Austrilia was a strong team all over the world, it was considered the best team in Asia where the level of soccer was not so high.

Denver Nuggets—will they be the most unlucky guys?

March 30th, 2008 by miki1

50 wins out of 82 games, seems a tremendous play in a season for NBA teams. Yes, things were used to be as this, history showed that 50 winnings was enough for a team to get into the off-season.
Things are not as simple as them before, this season’s NBA regular season, especially in the western conference, the fighting for the attendance of off-season is so fierce that one lose can kick a team out of the candidates’ list.
Look at the ranks of the western conference, Portland Trial Blazers, with a winning percentage of 52.8%, which used to be pretty wonderful, is far behind the previous team, Denver Nuggets. Denver has a winning percentage of 60.6%, but if the regular season ends now, Denver will be out of the off-season.
While there are still ten or more games for each team to play in the regular season, no matter which team will be kicked out of the off-season, it will be a pityful result. Since no team want to be the best 9th team, the following regular season will be more wonderful!

Culture Difference—-Is it so hard to across

March 30th, 2008 by miki1

It is well-known that there is a great gap between eastern and western culture, it exits everywhere, even if in the sports field.
Yao Ming’s recent injury shocked the whole world, his injury was not the same as common injury not only because it was Yao, who drew attention of whole Chinese and world’s basketball fans, but also because of the unusual kind of injury he had, this kind of injury was not caused by fierce conflicts in the court, but resulted from routine games. Lack of rest, was the direct murderer of it. Wide controversies started spreaded between Yao’s fans in China and America —Who should be blamed more for this tragedy?
Americans thought that Chinese basketball team should be blamed because Yao Ming played so many national team’s games which are not neccessary, on the other side, Chinese fans considered that Yao had played so many games for the club, while either side believed their own opinion was undoubtfully right, who were more reasonable?

And Houston Rockets continuously prolonged their records of straight winnings. It seemed that they are unstoppable.
But Boston Celtics, who had the best results in the NBA Conference now, swared to stop Houston in Boston before this game though Ray Allen was still in the list of injured players.
Two teams were tied at the first half with 40-40, but Houston players couldn’t find the basket when second half started, Tracy Mcgrady, Rafer Alston missed one jump shot after one jump shot, Celtics led by 16 points in the end of 3rd quarter, Houston Rockets couldn’t save the game back in the rest of this game.
