Take me home country road
“Take me home country road” sang by John Denver and is a really nice song. Every time I listen to this song I remember my home country. That is why I really like to listen to it over and over.

Almost heaven, west virginia
Blue ridge mountains
Shenandoah river -
Life is old there
Older than the trees
Younger than the mountains
Growin like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
All my memories gathered round her
Miners lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine
Teardrops in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice
In the mornin hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin down the road I get a feelin
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, now country roads
Take me home, now country roads

Hi Nafis! Thanks for suggesting this song. Another great song by John Denver that I use with my students is Sunshine on My Shoulder. And for truly advanced students, I suggest Thank God I’m a Country Boy. If students can keep up with such a fast song, they can be REALLY fluent!

Dear teacher Joe,
Thank YOU so much for telling me about this song and other singers. I did not know about him until you told me and I will be listening to other songs that you told me once and thank you so much for reading my weblog too.
Best regards,
