April 22nd, 2008 by robin1

What is a superstar should do to his team? To get as more points as you can? Or just to appear when your team needs you? Tim Duncan gives us the answer in the first game of the off-season.
Amare Stoudamire has fouled out, Shaq O’Neil and Boris Diaw are both 5 fouled. Why do so many players in paint get in foul trouble? It is only because of the power of Tim Duncan, who gets 40 points and 15 rebounds, what is more important, he shoots a three point in the end of the 1st extra time which makes the game into the 2nd extra time, and gives Spurs the opportunity of winning. What’s more important, Tim Duncan, who’s a Power Forward, is seldom making such attempts of shooting three, but at the crucial moment, he hit it, no one consider he will shoot this ball but only himself, his action tells everybody: Never ignore Tim Duncan, he is the most dangerous killer!

UEFA Champions League Draw & Ceremony—-is it really fair?

March 24th, 2008 by robin1

Draw is an important part in today’s sports field, it determine who will play against whom in the eliminating stage or in the group stage, it always draw so much attention from the fans, some rivalries are created directly by the draw. It seems fair for every team, but in today’s commercialised sports field, is it really fair in every draw?
UEFA Champions League is one of the greatest tournaments among clubs every year, the conflicts between greatest clubs in Europe were so fierce. But the Draw and Ceremony this year caused so many controversies due to the incredible results.
The draw for the first round game has some limits: the team who rank first could not meet with each other, the team who come from same league could not meet with each other. Under this circumstance, there was a small chance for strong teams to play against each other, but the result, Liverpool V.S Inter Milan, Arsenal V.S A.C Milan. Things were not ended, in the 2nd round of draw, two hottest team from England, Liverpool and Arsenal met, what’s more, Rome, who was lost 1-7 to Mancherster United in last year’s UEFA Champions League, met Man United again this year.
The results is so incredible so that many people put off their doubts: are the processes of the draws really fair? Can the council make something to decide the results? The answer is certain, they can make some ballot-balls warmer than others, so that when they pick the ball, they can know which ballot is which team. Some people may ask about the intention of their action, the answer is simple: to make more fans to watch the game, or in another word, to earn more money from wonderful games directed by strong teams.
Although more wonderful games are created by these committees, but I think it is a unfair way, if it is the truth, these committees should not do what they are doing now again. Sports should be fair!
