April 29               We Decided to Have a Date       We have been talked through messages for a week, but I have never met him. Xie didn’t ask for meeting me at once when he got to know me. He said it was better to get a little more familiar with each other before we meet. I think this is his unique point, because many boys in college tend for immediate meeting, which makes him more attractive to me.        After a week’s talk, we have got some knowledge of each other. Tonight, we talked for the first time on the phone. This was the first time that I had heard his voice. There were no other special features about his voice except some Guangdong accent. We talked happily just like friends.      Both of us thought it was time for us to meet, so we decided to have a visit to Summer Palace together tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it.

       Recently, I decided to do more exercises because exercises can relieve pressure and build health.        Wei and I enrolled for the dancing class which happens two times a week. The teacher is a junior and he is a kind and handsome boy and also teaches very well. Every time, after we had the dancing class, we always felt excited. This dancing class added much fun to my life.       Sometimes, Wei and I went to Track and Field Playground to jog. Usually, I can just run at most five circles, but that day I ran eight circles unexpectedly which encouraged me a lot. Also, I decided to learn to play tennis next week.       In all, in order to make my life more colorful and to make myself healthier, I will try my best to do more exercises.               

       The other day, one of my old classmates, Zhang, asked if I knew any postgraduate students in my University. She said one of her friend wanted to take the postgraduate exam for sports theory in my university. She wanted to know more about The Postgraduate Department in BSU and how to prepare it.       I thought for a while and found I only knew a postgraduate student in my university, what’s more, her major is not sports theory. Since Zhang has asked for my help, I think I should try my best to help her. Suddenly, a good idea came into my mind. My teacher for The International Sports Organization, Ms. Wang, is very familiar with it. Maybe I can ask for her help. I told Ms. Wang about it. She was so kind that she agreed to help her.          When Zhang learned about it, she was so happy. I was also delighted because I had made someone happy.

April 29                   A Crazy Journey      Since we have finished TEM4 and intensive exam and now we get a six day holiday, my roommates and I decided to go out to play. After a discussion, we decided to a place called Qiangui where we can sing songs and have lunch. The most important thing is the expense is very cheap compared with other places.      At eight o’clock in the morning, we all got up except Hua. She said she felt uncomfortable and she couldn’t go there with me. Because only today is available for all of us, we could just go to play without Hua instead of changing the time. Thus what we can do was telling her to have a good rest in dorm.      At about 11 o’clock, we arrived at Qiangui. And then we booked a room and started our crazy journey. We haven’t sung songs in KTV for a long time, so each of us ordered a lot of fond songs. No matter who was singing, others would enjoy it and sometimes danced to the music. The lunch was buffet dinner and we could choose whatever we liked. Thus, during the four hours in Qiangui, we sang a lot, danced a lot, ate a lot and enjoyed a lot.        When we came out from Qiangui, we said, “How beautiful life is!”

       TEM4 was just finished, and the final exam is around the corner. Last Monday, I have finished my intensive final exam. I did not well or bad in it. It’s OK since it has been finished. All that I need to do is preparing well for the following exam.       There are still five exams left. I will work out a good plan and stick to it.       I’m sure as long as I pay out, I will get a good result. Come on!!!       

 April 20                     TEM4       This morning, TEM4 finally came to me. I had been preparing it for a long time. During the process, I experienced a lot. About a month ago, I was so worried about it that I couldn’t focus my attention on studies. Those days were very bad. I always thought I didn’t prepared well and there was only a little time left. I was afraid that I wouldn’t pass it. Fortunately, I collected myself at last and decided to abandon anxiousness and work hard. Worrying would do no good but makes things worse.         At first, I made my aim lower because I’m a person who is not good at bearing pressure. The lower aim would make me more relaxed, in this case, my study would go on more efficient.        From then on, I buried myself into TEM4 model test papers. Although sometimes I made a lot of mistakes when I did those papers, I became more optimistic than before. I told myself that more mistakes would improve me more.        This morning’s TEM4 turned out not very hard but the time still seemed a little limited. As the ending bell rang, I had just finished my composition. I said to myself, “I finally finish TEM4. I’m satisfied with my paper.”

April 30             I Will Always Remember This Day     This morning, I got up at 7:20a.m. Because today’s date with Xie is my first date, I was a little nervous and excited. At 8:55, I checked in front of mirror and found everything is ready. Then I got downstairs. I thought he should be there now. However, I didn’t find him. Because I have just seen his photos, I still doubted if I could recognize him. It was nine o’clock now, but he still didn’t show up. I complained in my heart: How could he be late for the first date!!!        I sent him a message that you are late. At this time I saw a boy walking towards me with smile. Yes, it was him. He said embarrassedly, “I’m sorry. I’m late.” Then I asked with smile, “How can you be late for the first date?” He said piquantly, “It is two to nine. I still have two minutes.” I pretended to be angry, “No, it’s 9:02 now.” “Oh, maybe the time on my cell phone is not exact. I’m sorry! I promise it will never happen again,” he said. I smiled which means forgiving him.Then we set off for the Summer Palace. As we were walking, we chatted. Although there was a little nervousness, we chatted happily like two old friends.About an hour later, we were in the Summer Palace. We walked around the lake, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and chatted about our life happily. It was really wonderful.  He worried that I might be tired and hungry, for we had walked for such a long time. I enjoyed such kind of feeling so much that I didn’t want to leave Summer Palace so soon and I also knew he wanted to keep on walking and talking in his heart. Thus, I decided to go on. It’s not until 3:00p.m. that we decided to leave because both of us were starving. We found a restaurant nearby and ate our late lunch.  After today’s travel, I think he is more attractive to me. I will always remember this day.  

I am Enjoying the Fantastic Feeling
Later, it turned out that the boy asking for my telephone number helped one of his friends. His friend’s name is Xie, also a freshman in Physical Education Department. Xie told me that that’s the fifth time that he had seen me and he liked me at the first sight last semester. That day, he and his friends in the refectory saw me. He kept watching at me, so that his friends all laughed at him. Then he asked his friend come to ask for my telephone number. I was puzzled why he didn’t come and ask by himself. Is he ugly? I was wondering. He told me that his mandarin was not very good and if he come and ask by himself, the nervousness will make his speaking worse. I thought this can make sense. After talking with him for some time, I thought I had some good feeling about him. Also, I saw his photos in his blog and his appearance is good, I think.
I never thought such beautiful, romantic thing would happen to me, but it indeed happened. I am enjoying the fantastic feeling.
These days, I talked with him through messages every night without exceptions.

April 22nd
A Beautiful Encounter
Around half past five this afternoon, I went to the refectory as usual. I bought a dish, a soup and some rice, found a vacant seat and sat down. Sometimes I eat meals with my roommates or classmates, but most of the time I ate alone because I have no boyfriend. Although I feel lonely at times, I have got used to it. Even I enjoyed such kind of loneliness from time to time.
Today, as I was enjoying the loneliness, a boy appeared in front of me suddenly with a cell phone in his hand. As soon as I raised my head, he asked, “Could you tell me your telephone number?” I was threatened by his precipitance, kept silent for a few seconds and then said, “How threatened I was!” He immediately said, “Oh, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been so precipitate.” I got a load of him and found he was a handsome boy. I thought I had got his intention. I asked, “You are?” He smiled and said, “I am –, a freshman in Physical Education Department.” “Oh, freshman,” I said. I thought he might like me so want to ask for my telephone number, but I smiled when I got to know he was a freshman because I think he is a little brother in my eyes. Then I smiled and asked, “Do you know which grade I’m in?” Maybe my manner of speaking gave him some hints and made him a little nervous. He then said embarrassedly, “You look so young.” Obviously, he was so nervous that he said such silly words, but I found he was very lovely. Then I told him I’m sophomore. Usually a boy tends to find a girl who is younger than him as his girlfriend. He seemingly knew what I mean and then said, “It’s doesn’t matter.” I thought there was no loss to know a handsome boy, what’s more, he was so lovely. Thus I told him my telephone number. He said he would text me tonight and then I nodded my head.
After he went away, I still involved in the happiness just now. Every girl wants someone to admire him, I’m not an exception. What a beautiful encounter! I was wondering “Am my love will come soon?”

Yesterday I had a wonderful experience, so that I still cannot calm down when I recall it. I am still excited.
This story should begin from one of my friend, Liam. Liam is an officer of Irish National Coach Training Center. He attended the ICCE conference in our university last September, and I’m a volunteer for the conference. During the conference, I showed him around our campus and introduced a lot about our school and China to him, so we got familiar with each other and became good friends. After he went back Ireland, we usually contacted through email. A few days ago, he told me that one of his friends, Ken Doherty, would attend the World Snooker China Open in Beijing in March 24th to 30th. He told me that if I go to the competition place, maybe I could meet him. When I saw the email, I was wondering what is snooker because I didn’t know the word. Then I looked it up in the electronic dictionary and only find that it is Sinuoke in Chinese. It is a way that translate a word just like a foreign name or place, so I was still puzzled about it. Later I send an email to him and told him that I have never heard snooker before and he was very surprised about it. However one day I find out what snooker is occasionally, I felt very ashamed about what I have said to Liam. In fact, I know there is such kind of sport, but I just know only a little about it.
Last Sunday I checked on the internet and was very surprised found that Ken Doherty is one of the best snooker players in the world. Then I booked a ticket for his competition on March 25th. In order to enjoy the game, I found a lot of information about snooker in the Internet, including famous snooker players in home and abroad and snooker rules. After all these studies, I found snooker was a very interesting sport.
Yesterday, March 25th, I went to the university students’ stadium in Capital Institute of Physical Education to watch the match. As soon as I saw him, I felt he is an amiable man. Then I focused on his match and decided would not disturb him until he finish his match. In the first round he did excellently, and he kicked all the balls into the bags within one stroke, got 140 points and give no chance to his opponent, Mike Dunn. I really appreciated his manners which are very gentle, just like that I have seen in the British movies. At last, he won the game by 5 to 2. As soon as it finished, I tried to get close to him, but some workers stopped me and told me that the only way to meet him was waiting outside the VIP Exit door. Then I ran to the VIP door and stood there. There were many snooker fans over there. After about one hour’s wait, he finally came out. Then I rushed to him and told him that I was a friend of Liam, he was very surprised to see me and told me that Liam had mentioned me to him. Then there is interesting dialogue:
“Liam told me that you don’t know snooker at all,” he said.
“No, in fact I knew, but I didn’t know snooker is just this kind of sport,” I said ashamedly.
Then he laughed. I took out a Chinese tie, gave it to him, and told him, “There is a Chinese character on it, which means good luck. Good luck for his competition.” He was very happy to receive it. Because there were so many fans asking for his signatures and photos, I just talked with him for a few minutes, took a photo with him and then he got into the car and went back to hotel.
I was very happy not because I had met a famous snooker player but because he is Liam’s friend. Liam told me that he was a very good player and always ranking well, but during the recent two seasons, his records was not very well. Thus in order to keep within top 16 of the world, he has to win some games in Beijing. I sincerely wish that he will get a good result in Beijing.
