After I reading an article titled the Elite Women Prove That A&M No Longer Stands for “ALL Male”, kind of touching happiness in my heart.
In this article, it mainly talks about how female athletes, especially girls in university, to win today’s status step by step, as a matter of fact, it is not easy at all. In 1977, the first women’s team got their own locker room, however, the decoration is men’s style, this time, it is the second time for Texas A&M basketball team reached the round of 16 in Women’s N.C.A.A. tournament. “The ascent of basketball- and of women’s sports in general at Texas –represents a proud cultural shift that university that was founded as an all-male military institution in 1876 and did not admit women until they sued their way onto campus in 1963.”
Although we always say equal, express no discrimination everywhere. But the truth is that every small change needs great effort. How the women players are admitting by audience? How to attract the supporting? When will they have their own league? Where will they go after retirement? So many questions, so many difficulties are waiting to be overcome. Absolutely, with time going, more and more female university athletics are awareness to fight against their legal right through lawsuit. It is a good thing, even a small progress will make a great contribution to the women in future.
Judged from the title, we knew the elite, which means excellence, another question is that how about the common women? Some kind of discrimination still exists. Every coin has its two sides, at least elite women show their ability to prove they can also do a good job!

David Beckham is one of most famous football players in the world. I know him since i was in high school. My deskmate loved him so much, and she forced me to listen all the things about David Beckham, at that time, i knew everything about him and had his posters on the wall…
Just a few days ago, i read a news that David Beckham emained in with a chance of winning his 100th England cap in next week’s friendly against France in Paris . It is an important movement, and a great news. Just like Terry said, “The Whole country is hoping he gets his 100th cap, because if anyone deservies, he does.” And his fans would very glad to hear it. Morever, he has been captain always in the past games, we are so familiar about that. But there is some special time.
I usually wonder to know the reason to choose the captain, but for David Beckham, there is no doubt about his skills, his football ability, and his popularity. And his sportslife seems long, the football player may be have longer sportslife that other athletes. His famous also because his beautiful wife. The article use “should be”, as we all known, the decision right in the coach, not us. We just hope, and we just pray, if he will be the captain , that will be very special for David Beckham and also fans. For that will be more memorable. I just hope this good dream will come true, i am not a real Beckham fan, but i still pray for him!
In all, good luck for David Beckham! Good luck to England, we really hope Beckham will be captain, not just should be!

This NBA season is really good for Rockets, on Friday night, Houston Rockets defeat the Charlotte Bobcats with 89 to 80, so they win their 21st game in a row, and create the best record in team’s history, becoming the second-longest streak in league history. The first-longest streak was Lakers, who won 33 in a row during 1971-1972.Even though, this victory gave the Rockets first place in the Western Conference.
For the fans, we are so familiar with Rockets, mostly because Yao Ming, now although he is injured and end season, there is no influence of watching Rockets games. We are so exciting that seems we win the game! Tracy McGrady scored 30 points. Usually we feel so happy when our supporting team wins. Actually, we do not have so much relationship of them, we know the players name, height, weight, even birthday, but they do not know us so much, even our name! Is it equal? Is it fair? We do not think too much at all. This is blind or stupid, I think so. However, on the other side, they give us hope, they give us good games, and they give us fun indirectly. How can we measure these two things? We put our faith on their performance, they give us a place to release our emotions. May be as a fan I am so conscious, so I never attacked by some stars and I have no hero in mind. I admire their achievements, their contribution, their performance, whereas not all parts of them. They are also human being, the good things we should learn while the bad things we should throw away, that maybe the point of our watching sport. To give respect for something really worthing, not just follow others steps.
All In all, we should congratulations to Rockets, they really give us something to enjoy!

The title used deep water, I agree with that this is a good metaphor. Loisel is the head coach of China’s Women soccer; she was criticized so much for China’s 4-0 loss to US in the opening game of the Algarve Cup on Wednesday. This is the first Algarve Cup for Loisel as China’s coach. However, it shows she is losing her stamina in the face of intense criticism, refusing to take any responsibility for China’s loss this time. In fact, this French woman has been in hot seat since her rift with Chinese officials became public last month.
Generally speaking, China’s women’s soccer team have been the hope of Chinese soccer fans. With the time going, with the hiring foreign coach, it seems that this hope is graduating disappearing. Is this a scandal? I am not so familiar with this Loisel, what did she do lead to today’s situation? , maybe she is a victim, but now, all the things prove her inability. At least, she has failed to deal with the conflicts between Chinese officials. I think this problem possible for every foreign coach, however, not so much would like to bring it to public. Now, it is hardly for the public with justice, who is right who is wrong. The Chinese officials resigned for her late arriving daily training, Losiel laid her cards to the table and asked for replace ZhangJianqiang if CFA still wants her as a coach. In my opinion, this is not proper, this is kind of naiveté. Just for our normal person, if I hate a person, I ask him to leave, is that really a good way? How can she persuade the others to support her?
After all, Losiel’s future in China is not so bright; the performance of China Women’s really losing our heart, making fans depressed. I hope this water will be not deeper and deeper, believer it or not, in my mind, this issue shall be solved as soon as possible, else, it will make an influence on Olympic Games, which will be more serious.

It is said that because of YAO Min’s left foot injury, he will be missed the Olympics. Yao Ming, the Houston Rockets’ All-Star center, was now diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left foot which will cause the end of his NBA season. This news was broadcasted on Tuesday by his team.
As we all known, Yao Min is one of the most powerful basketball player in China, and even in NBA, it seems that only Yao can give the hope of Chinese basketball team. In my mind, he really did very great thing, and opened a new age of Chinese basketball. Actually, I like basketball very much. So I know what he really did, when I heard this kind of news again, I just feel so worried, as we can not see him in Olympics, what a pity! And I also remembered a volleyball player named-Zhao Ruirui, she is a super volleyball player, however, just because of injury, she missed Olympic Games, that will be the regret of her sports life.
For himself, this news will let him more care about his healthy, and he will feel so sorry to his fans, his team and his mother land, anyway, his health is the most important thing! For his fans, they will not see his playing in the basketball court; it is really a sad thing. For his team, a valuable player can not play in the court, it is a loss. For his motherland, the Olympic will fade, that is pretty right. How can we image how many basketball tickets will be influenced according to this news! All in all, it is a bad news!
Finally, I just give my best wished to Yao, hopefully, he will recovery quickly!

The Japan won North Korea with 3-2, and ranked No.1 in the East Asia women’s championship on February 21th,2008. China ranked second with 4 points, followed by North Korea with one point, and South Korea without any point.
Actually, this game is not so popular as world cup,but with the four countries are located close, so we can see some other special things.

For the history reason, especially for anti-Japan in World War Two, each time whatever fields, when Japan vs. China, Chinese audience are eager to win! And some nationalism will make big news for this kind of competition. Just in this spring festival, Chinese men’s football team lost Japan again. Anyway, we do not keep so much hope for Chinese men’s football team for the weakness. Again and again, we think the future of our men’s football; hopefully we can find a way to be strong again. With thousands of heart-broken, the only thing can make up our minds is our women’s football team which has ever won the world championship in recent years! However, now the only hope also needs challenge. And there is even such a joke said that, the Chinese football fans are the world’s most desperate fans with no hope of their national team! What a sad story? China has the largest populations, the most football fans, but one of the worst national football teams in the world!

This title attacked me first because of China, it is mainly tells a fact that a Chinese table tennis star –Wang Chen, who retired from China table tennis team in 2001 and now she is still playing in the U.S., moreover she is one of two h American table tennis players ranked high enough in the world to qualify for the Olympics this summer.
To be honest, I feel conflict very much. For one thing, I am happy for Wang Chen, she can still keep her Olympic dream. The reason for her retirement was that her age in China. However, except China, other countries do not have such kind of rules. Just like Waldner in Swenden, who had played table tennis about 40 years, but no one said because he was old, then he should retired.
For another thing, it is a pity for China; the government invests too much money to bring up such an excellent player, now she does contribution to other country, and becomes the opponent of her mother country. Maybe some of us will say, well, the mother country has deserted her, she had done enough contribution for her mother country in past years and she also devoted her best sports life to it. Now she has been free and has right to do her own chosen. What she do all depends herself. In my heart, that was the lost of excellent athlete, the failure of Chinese education system. American uses less money but pick a good fortune. At this time, I remembered another athlete, one of best volleyball players named Lang Ping, the member of China national team at the top of Chinese Volleyball time—-five successive champions. After retirement, she also left China, and now coached in Australia.
Above all, Wang Chen is not the only elite athlete china had lost, although the sadness is around me, I still give my best wishes to her, hopefully, she will fulfill her dreams. And on the other hand, I hope that our government should think over this kind of phenomena and keep the best player inboard!

On Friday 13th in July 2007, Salim Sdiri , a long jumper of France was hit by javelin from Tero Pitkamaki of Finland during a Golden League meet in Rome. Luckily, the javelin sailed far off target 80 meters away and landed in the back of long jumper Salim Sdiri and not take his life away at once. However, almost seven month passed, Sdiri still could not take part in the competition, he was healthy but he was angry.
He desires to come back the competition, but his injures still troubled him. His coach said we should give him time to face this kind of accident. And he also plans to join the Frenche indoor track and field championships in Bordeaux.
Anyway, on one side, he was not so satisfied for Pitkamaki. For one thing, he said that Pitkamaki still competed after accident; for another thing, Pitkamaki did not give him a message or an e-mail for last seven months. On another side, Pitkamaki responded that the officials had come there, he was shocked, and so he still competed.
After this accident, the I.A.A.F technical committee has begun a study, and the I.A.A.F. says it plans to discuss the findings at a meeting next month in Valencia, Spain.
At first, I just think for the long jumper, he was so luck, that he still alive; for a while, when I saw this news seven months later, I still feel nervous, what a dangerous situation at that moment, how can we feel safe in the sport? Why the designers have not thought about that kind of accident at beginning? How dangerous the javelin is! How dangerous the hammer is! When we are in the competition, sometimes, we have little time to watch the things happening around us. Everything is possible, the javelin and the hammer or the shot has no eyes, and how can it judge the person or the target? Most of time, we see the accident in the some kinds of sports we called “violence sport”, such as wrestling, boxing, American football or soccer, I have see a goal keeper was kicked to death. But for the javelin hit long jumper, the first time I have heard. It seems these two things just belong to the track and field, and then they have no direct relationship. More or less, the I.A.A.F. has paid some attention to improve the safety of these two competition, they have done some thing to avoid this kind of things happened again! And for the angry of Sdiri , that was acceptable, he was the first such kind of victim, he has right to say his feeling , but that seems not so generous for an athlete. No one wants that things happened, he should not blame Pitkamaki so harsh, things had been took place, we just prayed him be recovery quickly! Wish he will appear in the French indoor track and field championships in Bordeaux.

This article talks about the result is hard to say before the last minute of the games. Before the final game between the Giants and the Patriots, the writer guesses the outcome, who will win? On one hand, his heart was with Giants, one the other hand; he wanted to see Patriots make history, because he wanted to witness a perfect season.
This kind of feeling is really puzzled us. I always have the same feeling; I really want the team which I supported will win while I still hope i would see something special, I should witness something unprecedented. i hope the miracle will happen. If everything just like we have predicted, we will be dull about our life. The world is so special including the sports, we just do not know what happens next, we are so curious about the future, so we are waiting to experience every tomorrow. For sports, just the mini-world of the whole society, and we can find a place to release our emotion and our money! Therefore, when the results come, whatever side will win, we will feel happy. If the team we support win, just like we guess, we will feel happy just like we win! Otherwise, we witness the miracle happens, how extraordinary the experience is! That may be the point of our puzzling. We just want to find a win-win way!

“Super Dan”—Lin Dan, china’s temperamental world No.1 badminton player, who failed to control his emotion to Korea men’s team’s coach—Li Mao during Korea Open Super Series, and finally, he lost the game.
Lin Dan said, Li Mao who was also a Chinese, was talking endlessly at his back while he was competing, and after last controversial call , he was even verbally attacking Chinese team with dirty words. Li Mao said he had never seen such a rude and immoral player in his coach career. After me watching this news, deeply, I breathe, what is the manner of sports? Is not the polite? Both sides seem have their own reason. Lin loves his country, he can not bear someone insult him or his country, how about Li? Who knows what happens to him? He is also a Chinese. What a shame! That is in the competition, have they not known? For Lin, he should clearly know he was in the competition; to win the game is the first thing! For Li, he is the coach, he just stayed and watched the game, that was ok, why he what to say some in proper words, he just did his duty was enough, for any reason, his athlete was competing with his own country’s player! Anyway, they should respect each other, which was the first step in the games, even they do not know each other, they should not clash or shout each other! The audiences buy the ticket not for the quarreling, but for the competition. And for Chinese athlete, they should keep clam, avoid the unnecessary troubles or obstructions. Or else, the scandal will appear; probably he will lose the game, which is not worth!
