Since I entered Beijing Sport University, I was distributed to a new dormitory—-the south No.3 dormitory—-a warm dormitory.

It is said that our dormitory is built for athletes who will training in our campus, so the heating system has been set very well. What’s more, our dormitory is warm, not only the temperature of dormitory is high, but also the atmosphere of our lovely dormitory is extremely harmonious. There are five floors and two gates in our dormitory. And every floor has one bathroom, two washrooms and 34 rooms for our students. It’s very convenient to live in the dorm. Nowadays, some monitors are installed in each floor, which make it saver to live in the dormitory. Every day, the bed-makers clean the aisles, stairs and washroom carefully to keep the dorm tidy, so we always have a clean environment. Most of our dorm-mates are particularly friendly so that I feel happy enough when I stayed in the dormitory.

In this wonderful dormitory, I make many friends who have various characters. We live together happily. The dormitory provides us a good condition of living and study, which makes our heart warm.

Recently, there are many disloyal reports in foreign media about the riot in Tibet and Beijing Olympic. It has misled many people, resulting in someone’s boycott of Beijing Olympic.
In my point of view, every nation in the world has its own problems. No one has the right to intervene in other countries’ affairs. We Chinese admit that there exist some problems in our country and we are on the way to tackling them. However, we will not give up to vicious power. We will present a brilliant and unforgettable Olympic Games to the whole world. And Olympic Games will bring unprecedented opportunity to Chinese expansion.
From international experience, the most long-term effect of Olympic Games is virtual and radical changes to a nation’s sport industry. Although China has made a boom in Olympic gold medals, which drastically promoted China’s new image in international sport field, yet our sport industry is still relatively falls behind. So, Beijing Olympic is just the juncture to boom the development of our sport industry, including the reform of institution and the stimulation of sport consumption. Also, Beijing Olympic will exert long-term effect in a great deal of other fields, both hardware and software. It will radically stimulate the expansion of science, technology and economy. It will enrich cultural resources, make the capital construction more consummate, promote China’s international enterprise, and provide a new and true image to the whole world. In conclusion, we should and must take full advantage of the critical point and its long-term effections to push forward our development all-around.

Today I read an article about the relation between job and interests. It took Winston Churchill as an example. AT first, his father wanted him to become a teacher, but he didn’t follow his father’s advice. He thought he had great interests in politics and his prospects in this area were good. So he chose his way by himself. And finally, as we all know, he fulfilled all his potential and reached the top as a politician. HE said:” Lucky are those whose interests and work are the same.” I think I am the lucky because I’ve chosen my major in the light of my interests. So some years later, my interests and work will be the same. But I know not every one is the lucky. There’re many people that do the work they aren’t interested in and wondering whether they should follow their heart to leave the present work and seek for their real interests or just adjust themselves to it and make themselves like it. More and more people choose the former one because they’re under the impression that a person only has one life, so they should value the only one chance to do what they want to do and to go where they want to go. Many people give up all they posses to seek after their dreams. No matter whether they get somewhere, most of them don’t regret. I admire their courage and determination. And sometimes I want to taste this kind of life—challenging, busy and full of X factors. But on the other hand, I think life is life. Not every one can get what they want and do what their interests lie in. And that is the case in most circumstances. So why don’t we try to learn more about it and try to like it? Maybe we can find many interesting aspects of it that unknown to us. Maybe we will begin to love it. And also, we’re adults so we must take responsibilities for our behaviors and shoulder the results. That is to say, we shouldn’t do everything just according to our own interests. So if we’re in such situation, we should think over carefully and make a choice. The most thing is, no matter which way you take, to do everything with all your strengths. Then whatever you’ll get at last, you will not regret for your decision.

Every day, I am thinking over these questions. I’ve been haunted by these confusions for a long time. Sometimes, I perceive there seems to be a blur yelling to me, trying to direct a way to me. I’m not sure whether it’s the right course to pick up. Maybe the world around us is too complicated and confusing. Maybe we have owned much more than we deserve. Maybe there are so many distractions and puzzles that we cannot concentrate on our own hearts. The urgent feeling of finding a way out is becoming more and more obvious. In winter holiday, I spent a lot of time pondering those problems. I talked to my friends and my high school teacher. I read some books. I watched movies. Gradually, a voice deep in my heart became clearer and clearer. It said to me that youth is limited and I must make a difference. In the progress of moving forward, I will look for my direction gradually. It ran as follows:“Meeting and parting in one’s life are just like the moon, sometimes round and sometimes half-round ——- it was out of control.”It made me think of my best friend who is now in Xiamen University. We were classmates in high school. We came to know each other from Grade 2. Though we hadn’t been friends for a very long time, yet the same interests and dreams made us together. No mater which one of us felt depressed or frustrated, the other one would try her best to encourage and cheer up the sorrow one. We studied together, talked together and go nearly everywhere together. When I was staying with her, I could talk anything—- My secrets, my depression, my confusion about the future and the world, my dreams, my hopes and expectations of the future, almost everything. I didn’t need to worry about the outer world. And in my darkest time, she gave me the most courage and hope. I’ve learned many things from her. I experienced the deepest friendship and the most genuine care because of her. We didn’t want to be separated, but life is life, sometimes like the moon. We had no right to refuse to accept the reality. We must face it. And in our hearts, we all know that we can’t be separated by the distance. Everything will stay where they were before. My dear friend, I appreciate for your accompany in my life. And please strive for our future with me. We must not stop. Come on, we will have all our dreams be fulfilled! And I know you’re now faced up to many problems. I know you can do it and I put great faith in your decision. No matter what you do, I will support you without hesitation.

creativityIn modern society, creativity is becoming more and more important. To individuals, creativity is the essential difference distinguishes high-class talent and low-class talent. Creativity refers to an ability to make new ideology, and brings about new objects. It enables you to land a better job and work more effectively, because the whole society attaches much significance to innovation. To society and the whole world, it’s the creativity that produces all, including human culture. Without creativity, our society will plunge into a stand still, human history will not proceed forward. Nowadays, we have already stepped into an information-age, and the revolution of new technology happens every day. Creative people invent, imagine, problem-solve, create and communicate in fresh, new ways. Creativity is just all around us, from clothing advertising, magazines, websites, music, movies, architecture, etc. People always pursue everything that comes into trend. Creativity is the driving and motivating factor of modern society. With creativity, we can think out of the box, leading the future and make special things happen.

The following one is one of my best loved poetry. What impressed me most is the attitude to life~

Life is beautiful
Life is important,Life is full of fun,Life is beautiful.Life is life.
When you get up in the morning, looking through the window,you\’ll see the clear sky.Go for a walk for a while,you\’ll breath the fresh air. You\’ll hear the birds singing, look at the butterflies dancing, watch the plants growing. You can feel the strong spirit of you life.Everything is real.Everything is beauty,Life is beautiful.
When you fell down on your way, there must be someome gives you a hand; When you get to work, you can see the smile of your parterner; When you arrive home in the evening, your family must be at the table, waiting for you to have dinner together;Especially when you arrive late, there must be a light left, for you,for love.
Therefore,we can say, life brings us the warmth beside you and me,like a young mother half-shy of her own glory she walks among us;life gives us an unbelievable amount of joy;life makes us understand the mysterious power of love.Life is our way, life is our guide. In a world, life is beautiful!

Some people have said this is Shirley Temple’s best film. It’s not my favorite but I admit it is very, very good….and it has some of the most touching, wonderful moments of any of her films. In fact, there were several times in the first part of this film that produced tears in my eyes.A funny part of this film is that Heidi receives a music box with her grandfather’s house inside it. She has fond memories of him. This is one of my favorite movies of all times. Love of family, love of friends, interesting locations and people all make this a great family movie. And to boot, it’s one of Shirley’s best, which puts it at the top. Put your sophistication and thinking hat away, and sit back and enjoy the emotions this film evokes

Director Allan Dwan ensured that the book’s high points were included in the film & Fox gave HEIDI very good production values - note especially the scenes of village life in Dorfli - and a fine supporting cast: gentle Jean Hersholt, perfect as the old Grandfather, gruff & lovable; droll Arthur Treacher, his comic English butler is definitely not in the original book, but he is hilarious nonetheless; Marcia Mae Jones as crippled Klara; Sidney Blackmer as her wealthy father; Sig Ruman as a police captain and elderly Helen Westley as the blind Grandmother.

Perfect entertainment for youngsters who will probably fall under Temple’s spell by the time the movie is over.

Exams seem to become part of our life, from element -ary schools to universities, even to work units. It’s hard to imagine that a student can succeed without undergoing any exam. As a relatively equal measure to select excellent people in a certain field, exams are regarded as an urge for students to pursue further success. Meanwhile, the disadvantage of exams are also obvious.
To begin with, it leads people to focus on exam skills instead of knowledge itself. How to assess a person? A simple answer may be to judge on the mark he has got in the exam. How do we prove ourselves as talented people? The common way is to get high scores. And many people find that dealing with exams is easier than dealing with education. So they prefer to get high marks by enhancing exam techniques rather than studying a subject systematically.
As a result, exams lower teaching standards. Teachers often teach students the way to work out testing questions but seldom encourage and guide them to solve practical problems. When I was in high school, I often got high marks in physics. While on a summer morning, the fan in my home didn’t work. With high self-confidence, I volun- teered to examine what’s wrong with it. To my dismay, I couldn’t even understand its circuit diagram, let alone fix it. Suddenly I felt dejected for myself and the system of education. I was puzzled for what I’d really learned .The same thing happened when I entered the university. In the entrance exam, I got the high score of 136 (the full score was 150 ) in English. Thus, without hesitation, I chose English as my major, for I believe that English was my forte. But I was wrong. What I mastered exactly was “deaf ” and “dumb” English. I could not express English correctly in oral and written form. So I became a victim of the current exam system. I determined to take the development of my practical abilities as my essential purpose in the university.
Finally, exams often cause psychological pressure. Many students suffer from bad health and a few even commit suicide. Because they think they are not as well as others, without good marks.
Therefore, we must have an objective attitude to exams. We should pay enough attention to their dark side and seek proper methods to reform them step by step. I think a rational exam system is what all of us expect.
